Well i would actually say those touch screen phones.

For me i go for Touchscreen, 3G/3.5G, Wifi, camera & music player/radio.

& right now this LG KS20 which was recently release seems like a gd choice. Might consider buying soon too myself.

If not i'll go for PDA phones.

Apparently.....There are contenders like Xperia, HTC Touch HD, etc.... getting overshadowed.. Fact is the WANT syndrome still there. If you observe recent 2 yrs show from US be it serial or movies ..... They be using Iphone/Imac/Macbook...some are motorola phones though but ..... Apple has endless Airing.

THE Straits Times launched a new iPhone application on Monday. It will allow mobile readers to access all the latest breaking news stories as they are published on the free StraitsTimes.com website through a free download available via Apple's iTunes programme.

After being listed in the Singapore AppStore over the weekend, the ST iPhone application is already top in the 'news' category two days after being offered in the Singapore AppStore. Overall, it is currently the second 'Top Free Applications'.

The Straits Times decided it is now the right time to launch an application for the mobile device as it has achieved critical mass in the Singapore market.

'The iPhone is now popular with Singaporeans and we always go where the readers are,' said The Straits Times Digital Technology Editor Yeong Ah Seng.

Early reviewers have posted positive comments at the Apple iTunes store. Studio57 wrote: 'Always enjoyed reading this paper. Now it's made easier since it's on my iPhone.'

The Straits Times will continue its efforts to engage the online community and its mobile readers in 2009.

It re-launched the StraitsTimes.com website last August to offer more breaking news free to its Internet readers.

It also offers a subscription-based product, ST Digital that provides the day's print edition of the newspaper online through three channels: A website separate from the free site, a newspaper-lookalike e-paper and a downloadable e-reader programme.

i believe the marketing of iphone is so successful is still the most popular phone for locals and many other parts of the world now..

 

i used my friend's US iphone 4gb for a day.. i sold it off the day after that.

pple from all walks of life owns 1 now. teenagers, working adults, foreign workers, uncles, male, female, every1. there's no 'wow' factor in owning 1 like it used to when it was only available in the US.

I agree, when you have an iphone(even 2g) in the past, it used to come with some bragging rights. Now it's really quite common lol.

I would put my money on the iPhone. Nokia CMI, i used the N97 for a few days and sold it. dun like HTC n BB. not interested in SE, LG & Moto.

in other areas such as europe and the US, phones are locked to a particular network. but in s'pore ida got ruling that each phone should be unlocked so that can be used with any sim card.

 

if that wasn't in factor shops have to categorise 3 different types of phones for sale...

But everyone has one! so if everyone has an iphone, its no longer 'cool'.

I would go for a nice nokia or SE with good functions, and at least i wouldnt be similar as everyone else.

 

However, iphone do have alot of applications.. tempting too

i only liked the iphone for its entertainment factor, those that likes their phone to be full of entertainment.. go for it.

 

end of the day, i still go for windows mobile phone.
