super4 original greyish can polish to mirror chrome finish..

items need:

- autosol

- newspaper

- silver cloth

crush the newspaper, dip the autosol around ur pipe and polish in circular motion.. slowly slowly u see the grey fade away... remove ur pipe for a easier job.. u need alot of time and effort... keep polishing until it's really silverish color no longer the grey.. then use the silver cloth and some solution to clean silver dip abit on the cloth and polish again.. super shiny..

Totally Agreed 100%...that's how i do it for my Spec 3..sure shine like mirror.

but after applying Autosol let it be for abt 10 mins or so then use crushed newspaper give it a good scrub..after shine top it off with cloth(no need silver cloth, juz any clean cloth will do) to wipe it again just to give it extra shiny.. :thumb:

hmmm... but i tot the exhaust has got a gasket at the point where it connects to the engine part? And if take out need to replace gasket right? Can any brothers verify that for Version S no need to replace gasket and its just as simple as unscrewing, polishing, and the screwing back? If really like that, I'm gonna take out my exhaust to polish and spray black :)

Use Autosol takes a long time.. i tried before and gave up.. Then i use Meguiar's NXT Generation All Metal Polish... No need to rub hard, apply 1 coat shiny liao, apply 2 coat... wa sibeh shiny.. To make it like chrome i tink must apply abit more.... No time now, will do it when i have my 4day in a row off again...

Btw, at first i use sponge applicator... tiring.. end up i just use bare hands to apply, never even rub in that much... let it dry then buff off.. its that easy... serious..

can we do the same method for crash bar ?? think previous owner dropped bike.. crash bar starting to rust due to those scratches.. sand it smooth and polish it ???

but will the effect last? I tried polishing and it was shiny.. but after 2-3 days of riding, u can see the shine starting to fade away.. i believe turning back to grey is only a matter of time..

yes. it will turn back to grey. so constant polishing is needed to keep it shiny like mirror.

autosol doesnt last and needs to be constantly polished.. as someone suggested, use the Meguiar's NXT Generation All Metal Polish, it works like magic and best is the effect last no need constant polishing... a slight fade needs to be wiped with a a normal cloth and the shine will reappear..

well i did my LV end can using it and the buffer machine but.. the hands works the best...
