since it's offered @ such steep price, insist tt they change belt, rollers for u.(though u can't ensure tt they change it unless u witness) and ensure tyres r relatively new as new tyres can set u back 40+ each.

ride a while to see if the brakes works. if feel funny go back change tt. since they offer warranty. then test out stuff like suspension and all. if anything out juz go back within a mth. should be safe.

oh yeah..do check engine mounting b4 u commit. shake the rear wheel to see if it moves independently.

SK>> take care over there man. any new mods to ur vespa??

You can install a K&N filter, but you'll have to do pretty serious modifications. Also, you'll have to change your jettings. If you want to do that, might as well go the whole 9 yards and get the Malossi carb kit haha. :)

I'm not sure if grounding wires on a skipper will improve anything.

horn idea starts frm ultimax and kilkenny man. and besides S750WP dun need much teaching on tt. he's very much a pro @ DIYs. (been seeing his post on DIYs in bandit section)

S750WP>> like ulitmax mentoned...grounding wire's not necessary. not heard of any K&N air filter for skippers. how abt trying open pod airfilters??(those used on runners) heard frm a runner guy tt it improves his bike performance.

Hehe yah ahz! Horns from kilkenny and ultimax! Anyway, waiting for leds DIY! Wanna see what can be done with those!

Malossi carb?? sounds expensive to me. Do you think aprillia 125 carb can fit.

I was just wondering if there is a drop in K&N air filter for skipper because basically they produce most filters for most bike. If not I will just stick to the oem filters.

Read from the old post you guys just wash the air filter with mama lemon, don;t you need to oil the air filter?

For the horns, hazard lights I know how to DIY. Other maintenance like spark plug, air filter, wash carb, gear oil, brake pads I know how to DIY also.

I plan to change the belts and rollers myself too, any DIY session for that because I have never work on a scoot before.

regarding rollers and belt change, can seek advice frm Rol13.

i read somewhere tt drop in air filter's not tt gd. perhaps you can try post up in main scoot forum on K&N air filters.

as for carb, as long as the opening fits, a rs125's carb should work. thnik there's enough top clearance for bigger carb.

I just paid $12 for a photocopy from yahoo, if only I have read the older post earlier, I would have save $7.

alvin : yah simon really friendly... haha so its better to get at a steeper price but a gd buy? LOL. Yah most probly will be interested to get it soon and can join u guys for some DIY session... Hehe.

Rae: so to check the mounting by checking whether the rear wheel move as in rotating? or shaking to see if its secured? sorry i am abit confuse here on how u check the mounting...

Posted

Mutu>> Shake the wheel, don't rotate it :D Another way to check the mounting is by lifting the exhaust. If you can lift it easily, the mounting gone liao!

having prob starting. spend 5-10 min cranking. tuned up idling speed, cdi and spark-plug coil working. startwer working. wat could it be??

quoted tt there's a possibility of too much 2T in carb. (2T pump leaking) but i have my reservation cos when i check my plug, it's not wet. could too lean mixture cause difficulty in starting?

also suspect tt its autochoke tt's the culprit.

Bring to 494 check loh!
