just change my t2 pump belt and main belt...do i need to run in the belt or something like that? don't dare to try as i heard need to so called 'run in' is it true guys?

heard of belt runnnig in before. not sure how it goes and wat good it does. personally did not follow it. whack my bike after belt change(cos it was new bike then...had to test it out. din know wat's 'belt run-in' then.)

frm wat i read..it's the 2T + petrol mixture tt's lubing the piston. so gear oil for gears and 2T + petrol for piston. tt i guess applies to scrams as well.

btw... have u go down to botak shop?? what have u and jerm done?? mi need to go also... no time liao... hahahahaha... guess if i drag longer... i gota go after new year liao~~ hahahahah...

 

just asking... if u guys piston or block or gear spoil... will u all consider malossi parts for the skipper?? maybe just 100 dollars more?? and have the upgrade kit?? have been thinking to myself...

 

good point is got power...

 

bad point is petrol consumption higher... maybe spoil faster... dangerous...

can't start my bike today.just got it services yesterday.just heard the motor cranking and thats about it. try kicking also can't start...anybody knows the reason why the bike can't start? need replys asap.thanks people. could it b the rain last night...how to get my bike started again?

Phatish...how's your Skipper now? Try to kick start again...try for 10 minutes...should be able to start...maybe too cold or water sipped into the electricals..I stay Sembawang...if you're near...maybe I go take a look :cheeky:

Rae...today going down to Botak's??? Never answer calls... :mad:

I'll be going down to tune my bike maybe at 4pm...think fuel consumption increased :weep:

i've not. things crop up here and there. :lol: think i'll end up like u...might end up gonig down after new yr.

 

jerm changed his rollers, belt and gear oil. and donno wat clutch rubber.

 

i'll only change if it's ard $50 difference. cos if u think abt it. overhaul cost ard 300+? if add ard 100. it would cost the same price as those skippers selling in garage sale.

 

and it's not juz block change. u gotto change a carb with multivar and blar blar to get the 'package'. btw..if u r interested...can recommend u someone who knows how to tune down consumption after installing malossi parts.

 

phatish>> might be ur starter coil/carbon brush/wrong fuel-air mixture tt's causing the prob. and like wat SK said...kick start should do the job.(these r time tt u love ur kick start)

crank the magic button till i hear tick tick tick sound...batt like no power...kick for about 10 min still can't start...try starter again...no use...took my other bike and rush to school for exam. came back...bike could start...magic button work...change my spark plug and man its filled with carbon. now heading down to test my batt. might need to fully charge my batt somewhere. hope nothing is spoiled man..maybe its justthat my plug foul... botak said it could not be water that cause this...maybe gotta tune down the 2t intake? or i gotta ram more..haha. don't wanna ram cause wanna save petrol leh...and now like that...hai....lets see how it goes tml morning man...anyway is there any choke for this bike?

skipper works on autochoke. if i'm not wrong...skipper can still kick start even without a batt.

 

guess it's too rich mixture?? tuning down 2T's not recommended. cos too low might end up with a jammed piston. try tune fuel air mixture frist and see how it goes.

it depends... phatish... ur spark plug is wet and black or just black but dry?? mine is brown which is good...

 

if it is wet and black... it is 2T too rich which causes it not to spark... ram is a good way for scramblers but not scooters... best is go shop tune down the 2T... but not too little... gees... as rae say not good to have a piston jam~~ hahahaha

kind of black but not sure if its wet...in a hurry to change it and didn't really notice it. anyway how much does a new batt cost? my batt gets really hot after every ride. guess i need to get it change soon.

sounds like you have a weak battery.

 

a new one (maintenance free) costs $25 at Ah Boy.

3-4 mths spoil? i used my battery on my skipper for 3 yrs leh. No issues with it hehe.. or maybe i lucky haha cause my whitey is a good bike hehe :smile:

Phatish... duno if the batt last long anot... but i think energiser last the longest... it is always on TV... made in japan also~~ :cheeky:

 

usually can last half a year lar... just for 25 dollars is ok... so no need think so much ya.... heard that wet one last longer but gota maintain... top up water... mi too lazy to do it~~ hahahaha... so drop the idea... :cheeky:

tried using energiser...no power to crank the motor leh...haha...anyway got the batt from LAB just now...the aunty tell me $28...went to him and ask for 25 haha...got some spark plugs from him too. what size of box should we put? since the front is so light...is a 40L box ok?

u do konw u gotto charge ur batt yeah?

 

anyway...it depends on wat u put in there. but i tihkn 40L's too big for the rack. i'll test out and let you know soon. got a spare one at home. 33/16 are the common ones.

yup...just borrowed a charger from a friend and charging it throughout the night. how come after every ride theres like a burn smell coming from the exhaust area...my other batt really cannot make it man...damn hot after every ride and now expand till damn big man..haha
