Aiyah Rae...outing can be organised anytime :smile: wif or w/o me :cheeky:

 

There's a small piece of black (usually) rubber on the cover of the kick start side. pry it open with a (-) screw driver and you'll see a round disc for tuning 2T flow. As for turning clockwise or anti-clockwise to high or low...I can't remember :faint:

xiao_p, I ever tried topping up 7.2L of petrol after the reserve light came on for 2 days. I travelled extra 30+km with light on. 2T should be a little for than 1L. Sparkplug use BR9ES (NGK) or equivalent. My champion plug 1year liao still no prob :smile:

Duration of belt/roller change depends on your riding style. But if you use Runner belt, can go 10,000km I was told. Usually change belt and roller together. If use original Skipper belt...er...I forgot :faint:

adding to wat SK said. skipper belts last 8k to 10k. runner's 10k to 12k. depends again on riding style. gear oil's ard 100ml.

 

i juz tried stretching reserve yesterday..travelled ard 60km with yellow light on. can barely see the petrol level @ gas station. topped up 7.4litres. so i guess keep it safe @ 7.5l for full capacity.

 

tt brings me to a question. will bike be travelling still if u run solely on 2T? :lol:

eh... i tried pumping 7.9 before... totally dry... left some in carb i guess... heng heng stillc an move cos i feel it jerking liao~~ hahaha...

so anyone knows will piston still gets lube if petrol runs dry? cos frm wat i know, piston's lube by petrol+2T mixture. so if petrol runs out, piston will risk jamming up?

Rae, 2T cannot combust lah...so if petrol dry liao...bike will die lor...maybe after jerking like siao ::D:

And if 2T finish liao...you will risk piston jam cos pistons will get too hot and nothing is left to lubricate it :nono:

talking about my bike i see.. :smile: Btw, my bike no longer white. It got dark spots liao due to not washing it for a few mths :lol:

Hmm...regarding the 2T issue, you do have a point. 2T is after all a type of oil :cheeky: and all oil should combust at the right temperature lah. So I think it burns when mixed with petrol and if alone...cannot combust as efficiently. Anyway...it's purpose is to lub the pistons...then burn in the chambers and become white smoke and soot stuck in the exhaust...i think :faint:

Rae, the 2T adjust I really cannot remember liao...but definitely not how many turns...haha. Is like how many degrees more likely...dun turn too much! :giddy: later you off the 2T then siao liao :faint:

Hi guys, I'm back :cheeky:

Ei ei...so this Sunday meeting on bor?

 

Meet at Multi Storey Car Park (MSCP) opp Ah Boy at 2pm 12 Feb :smile:

And I never see the new Skipper riders leh :confused: Hey...if free, drop by to say 'hi' leh :bounce:

 

Today I went wm to fix my throttle cable and speedometer...my cable was stiff, and my speedo wasn't moving again :nono:

turns out the cable came loose...so I black taped one end and it's working fine liao.

As for the cable...a plastic part broke off, so I changed the right handle liao. So now I cannot ride with both hands off liao :cry:

oh...and I went to a paint shop looking for Red, Black and Silver can sprays for my exhaust, and body...

guess what? The "tao ge" scold me...saying those paint don't last under exposure of the sun...and I'll only be wasting my money!!?? :faint:

he say go spray car paint so it'll last. weird right... but I know he's a good person...forsaking $8-$9 profit to save me $20 bucks! :thumb:
