Is the spec for 95 typhoon 125?? Can you help me to check is the typhoon tyres are tubeless, because the ex owner say its the same as runner. Not sure if he has change to runner's rim to fit in the bigger tyres.

Only got this scoot for 2 weeks, the vee rubber tyres on the scoot were change less than 2 months by the ex owner.

The size 120/90/10 may not be common, maybe thats why the scoot is fitted with 130/70/10.

runner rims are 14" if i'm not wrong(oryx...confirm please) and urs a 10" so it can't be.

tubeless have different air valve as compared to tubed ones. if urs looks like one on bandit/gsxr,(somewhat conical in shape) it should be a tubeless.

Hi lawrance,

Its always good to send a newly purchased bike for a check at any reputable bike shop as a precaution. This could save you from paying more if a few minor problems that the previous owner did not inform you got worse or maybe there some hidden problems to the bike that you do not know of when u purchase it. Maybe you could also ask the previous owner to inform you on the bike servicing schedule to do a proper maintainence on the bike. Most of our skipper owner here owns a 1994 version of the skipper but i think the bike should be about the same rite? Not very sure also, maybe have to wait for scooter lacer to appear again hehe :cheeky:

Regarding bike shops, you may wanna look at the recommended bike shop list in the scooter forum. May need to dig a bit for it. If at queenstown area, i'm not sure but there are quite a few good shops in the east area

2002 Skipper? You sure it's not that the previous owner retain number and got you an FU plate instead? How much you paid for it? Cos I think 2 stroke Skipper stopped coming in SG after 95. Yours is a 4 stroke newer version is it? If so, hope you paid less than $2k for it.

2002 skipper should be the 150cc version. it's ard FW i suppose? the no. of this bike's OTR much lesser than our 125 version. so far i've seen only one.

lawrence>> check out main scooter page for scooter guide. there should be a list of recommended shops there. basic stuff to note will be belt, roller, brake fluid, brakepad and engine oil. ur's a 4 stroke if i'm not wrong. but check juz in case. oh yeah..and gear oil. (eng. and gear transmission should be sperated)

So Rae, u gonna give the seat we scavange just now to alvin? Hope you're happy with the stuffs that you took! Very rare leh to see an abandoned bike! Especially if the owner went overseas :cheeky:

Btw, i still dunno how to put the thing to the front panel that i took just now. I need it to point downwards but a bit difficult let. Need braces i think... Hmmm...

yes stock is tubless.

actually it only means that ur tires profile is different nia . for me i think the tire profile is too big for a 10" rim ( cornering will wobble unless u pump more air, but then the grip will lessen due to not enough grip surface )

mitzerler and continental got the original size mah.

if u want to use bigger tires better get a bigger rims :thumb:

I check the tires marking and it states 36psi max.

Now I pump front 22psi rear 32 psi 'agaration' from hexagon (19psi front 32 rear). So far so good, its very stable even at 100km/h, and no problem for cornering as well. Will have to observe for a while.

Are you the one who change the rollers and belts yourself?? Can I borrow the tool from you to DIY.

What is the life span of the clutch shoe?? Anyone change this before??

Read from the manual the oil pump belt need to change every 3 years, is it necessary?? However I did check the oil pump cam alighment and make the adjustment because its slightly out.
