Emm..., did you saw the hole at the pulley, and the starter urself? Interesting tat these items are been affected :nono: . Any way is the belt original? Snapped within two mths is too fast liao. I always bought my own belt from tong aik. And ask the motor diam to change the belt. Think i don trust the bike shop.

:cheeky:

Poor Muyusha.. think if possible, change ur belt too.

Hmm... If you got read my previous threads, I did have an issue with my pulley bearing spring cover before! I believe at that time, the bearing cover that broke kindda scratches my belt when its stuck at the pulley area. When they repaired it that time, i saw the uncle check my belt and then put it back in cause no major fault can be seen i think! But i believe, some small tears happened then and as time goes by, the tear got worse as i was always rushing for work :cheeky:

About the hole at the pulley, the motodiam told me that when my belt snapped and got stuck at the pulley, the revolution of my engine bored a hole at my pulley there as the pully wasn't able to move, hence the issue there... regarding the rest, i'm not really sure, have to go down tomorrow to look at the damaged parts! Anyway, i really trust my motodiam for now! They are one of the motodiam that was always recommended! but i guess u all know where i go for repairs liao

Harlow!! Got back my bike liao!!! Every thing also change already! But the funny thing is that when i ride the bike now, it seems to be much more quieter than before! And also one more thing, the pickup like super chialat liao! Much more slower than before! Issit becos i changed to malosi belt or it becos i using recondition pulley? Some more, now must ride below 70km liao till i clock 500km to run in the belt.... Now whiteoryx become tortise liao..... :weep: Anyone knows what could have caused the pickup to reduced???

oh! in tt case i'll delay my horn installation. was thinknig this weekend.. well...will wait for ultimax then.

btw...my previous bike's horn was installed with ultimax's guide in Hands-On. :cheeky:

ultimax>> went mayo street. saw all the colors. :lovestruck: like the pearl range but all color seems quite girlish. am thinking of spraying metallic orange. darn...so many choices. :giddy:

myusha>> maybe prevoius owner change cdi and carb? btw..i had starting prob 2 days back. think it's my spark plug.

whiteoryx>> since donig horn with ultimax, i'll just be respraying my pipes @ my viod deck. so i guess nothing much to kaypo eh? hehe. belt muz run in ah?? gone! i've been whacking since changing belt. :giddy:

btw...read abt malosi belt's tt it compensates durability with pick-up and top speed. check ard scooter threads, i read it there.

kilkenny>> if it's as wat u mentioned, maybe try see if stuffs are tightened properly? maybe extra power loss in trying to overcome the mechanical losses. (using my eng. knowledge to explain...hehe.)

I hope i also can whack! Since that incident the other day, i think i better get a good belt so that i won't suffer again! Push bike more than 1 km is very tiring leh! Anyway, you get to feel my bike this Monday! I believe you guys will "feel" the difference!

Yeah the selection's quite extensive. I've never used any of RJ's metallic colours so I'm not sure if what you see on the cap is what you get. But for the regular colours, the colour of the cap is pretty close to the actual colour of the paint. I suggest going with a simple colour first. If I had a skipper, I'd do black and yellow...2 colours that contrast each other. One bright, the other dark :)

As for Killkenny's problem, yeah, I was wondering if a new belt = more friction = higher consumption haha.
