Hi ppl, back again. Still looking for my good 2nd hand scooter but very busy recently dunno when than I can finally get my hands on one

Well, I didn't try the Daelim Roadwin before though I must admt it looks cool but I tried on the VS125cc before which looks like a phamton besides the fact that it doesn't rust as easily but is much more expensive. It's pretty big for a 125cc bike as well, just slightly smaller than phamton though low cc but good acceleration, speed wise can't comment as I only rode for very short distance.

Otherall comment for Daelim, though korean made think its quality should be better than Japan brand but thailand made bikes (no offence to anyone, personal opinion). Besides Honda is using them as well..... Nonetheless a bit ex....... If got the $$ can get a daelim to ride

All the best for our bike searching quest :cheer:

Just got a lady riding scramble playing with me at the traffic light, tak sayang badan..pakai skimpy kalau skidded dah tak nice..haiz.

Biasa la..Pompan zaman skarang..What to do? Kalau tegur tak terima..

Niwaes..Just like yan n era I recently got my lic 2b) too (FINALLY)..Been looking around Ubi..Prolly the bike I've been looking at are RXZ, KR and CB150..

Gotten to try out the RXZ and KR before (friends' bikes obviously)..Liked how simple the RXZ looks like ad how hot the KR is..So its a bike with and w/out fairings..Was told by friends to get a bike with coolant so as not to overheat..So the RXZ is out..

As for the KR..The power is good..Handling not too bad..Felt that an elevated footrest makes it feel more weird..Makes the bike feel a little bit longer..So was looking for a more stock (everything) one..

The CB150 looks real nice..Best part is its 4-stroke so economy (in fuel consumption maybe?) Simple look..Heard that its low in maintenance..The problem is its kinda hard to find a 2nd hand one..Anyone have any experience with one?

As for the YBR..Its being used in CDC both the old and new ones..The old ones doesn't have a tachometer..The newer ones have..Got to try both the old and new ones..Seems like a decent bike for commuting purposes..Don't like the brakes and tyres tho..Overall a decent bike..

I have tried to see things from your point of view..But no matter how hard I try..Or what I do..I just can't get my head that far up my butt..

hello compfused... congratulations..... hehehe..

so which bike are you settling for?

Kawa KR, im not sure for rider lah...but for pillion, patah pinggang wooh (for long distance riding lah).. took me abt a mth to get use to the sitting posture..(itu pon, sharing seat w rider..which means not so bad, if not, prolly will take longer) dats my personal opinion and experience lah.. coz b4 dat was sitting comfortabaly on a comfortable pillion seat (prolly not used to sports bike like KR lah)

but wat i noe is that for bikes w full fairing, the insurance is more expensive, rite?

personally, i feel that full fairing bikes are too "showroom" to be riding on just aft i graduate.. still not used to the traffic and road conditions yet.. :D

niwae, as for the so skimpyly dressed lady riders, (belom terantuk, belom rasa sakit lah..kalau dah jatuh baru tau) so much of the safety attires and safety gears that was taught at the driving centres..pfft.. (not say wat lah...) buat malu company jer.. hehehe (no offence, again, personal opinion) :D oops, sorry... :offtopic:

as for me... prolly a CG125 or YBR125.. c how.. havent really decided yet.. but r u looking at brand new bikes or 2nd hand? i really cant find the time to go "window shopping" lah.. n go alone like so 'sian' like dat... :pity:

Brokenbones, dats a 125cc Al-Simmons posted and rode. The diffrence on a 125cc dats easy to tell are: 1) front headlite assembly, 2)sports rims, 3) v-twin plastic top block 4) phantom looking brake and 5) obvious the exhaust.

woooopss... ye ke?? besaunya.

he he... 125 already that big. how come they didn't produce 400cc. boleh jugak aku tangkap satu. when i got my 2A, thought of getting myself Honda Transalp 400 but not much in Singapore i guess. kedai pun kata dah takde production. kalo lah african twin ke or varadero keluar 400 version, may consider to change bike he he..

Goofrider, I haven't got a vespa to ride yet but I'm looking at GT200 but I'm happy with LX150, ET8 or piaggio liberty 200 as well. Hopefully can get 2nd hand cause 1st hand too ex.. nice lady from bike shop willing to let me go see bike on sunday though a bit far from my place it's the only 2nd hand I know so far. Goof since you're vespa rider any idea, 5.2k for a 2year old 2nd hand gt200 machine price only, fair price??

Will be very very careful on the scooter when I get my scooter cause I've seen too many motorcycle accident victims... Constant reminders to be safe than sorry

If not satisfied tomorrow than I go bukit merah next sat to bike shop again.... think I never shop so much in my life for one thing.... maybe because it's a big investment....

Good luck with all of you bike shoppers!!!

Btw how's the pulsar? I intended to get one prior to getting my 2B but changed my mind... fickle minded ah me...:cheeky:

Hi all, I'm a new rider getting a bike. Looked through the forum, decided that I want a bike with clutch control but not a phamton and not too heavy with relax riding posture. Identified Yamaha X1, Daelim VS 125 which meets the criteria. Wonder if anyone has any comments. Also looked at the autoclutch bikes like wave and spark ut currently still very confused over what to get. Any advise??

Btw, any daelim riders out there that would like to share their opinions about Daelim bikes, not often seen in the forum. Thanks!!

:cheeky:

Hi Era,

I've been riding daelim VS 125 for abt 4yrs.

This bike does not have much power as 2stroke bike in market as it is a 4stroke bike... Wat i like abt tis bike is the fuel consumption which can go up to 500km after the reverse tank and with tat i can still can proceed to JB frm Bedok and pump my fuel there... 380km to 400km den start reserved. Trust me i feed back tis to CK and it had been great.

Full tank is abt RM$23 to RM$24. Never pump full tank in S'pore.

Bare in mind tat tis bike is very expensive compare to the price of other bike and if u wanna sell it off u had a hard time getting the right price. Duno why like tat.. lan lan i keep it for transport purpose to work. Great fuel consumption...!

Top speed for tis bike is ard 110-120 oni and it cant to any further. Bike shop ask me to make some modification but i dun wan coz i'm afraid it may effect the fuel consump..

Most ppl tot tat tis bike is a 400cc bike as the body is big and huge.. Its a relax bike... the crome parts are not easily rusty as it is made of plastic but the exhaust must be well maintain...

Its ur choice.... this is a sincere comments frm me...

At first i wanted to sell it off but CK took in too low price den the price tat i bought.. after calculation its nt worth at all... because of the fuel i reluctant to sell it off nw.. great for transportation... Even my dad have it too..!

Once again its ur choice... if u think of changing ur bike to a bigger cc in future i advised u nt to buy coz low value wen u wanna sell it off... If u think tat u wanna use it for long... den its good...! save alot... I oni need to pump at JB every 2weeks once.. daily journey is frm bedok to amk, amk to bedok, and some few milleage for me to roam ard...

Feel free to ask....

Went bike hunting again..Found some nice KRs..(salivating)..For now I guess I'll just keep on looking..A friend of mine advised me against gettin a KR (second hand) and get a 125z instead..Sounds good if the instalments are not too much..Anyone have any experiences with 125Z? Fuel consumption? Maintenance? Power?

Oh for the one lookin for Vespas..Era? Try looking around at Ubi..or Eunos..Saw a few bike shops that prolly specialises in Vespas (coz I don't see any other bike in the shop)..

Happy hunting..

P.S. Some bike shops will ask you to get 2nd party insurance instead of the normal 3rd party..So which one is the best?

I think I've hijacked this thread a litle too much..But if someone can kindly tell me the price of KR,125z and RXZ out in the market 1st/2nd hand I would appreciate it..

Is it advisable to get a 2nd hand bike? I've two friends..One tellin me to get a 2nd hand one and the other the opposite..Kind of in a dilemma right now..

To Mr Compfuse..

125Z is powerful bike cos its 2 stroke. but i use it for only a month then give it to a fren for C.O.I reason is the tank is too small. every 3 days have to visit petrol kiosk. i think the fuel consumption is higher than Wave. maintanence wise, not too sure cos use only 1 month... he he. but dont forget the 2t. (why dont consider 4 stroke bike??)

Yan_d1No>>> why not considering a Bajaj Pulsar?

1. Four stroke also.

2. 180cc

3. Twin plug engine

4. 18litre full tank

5. estimation of 45-50km/ litre of petrol (no kidding)

6... look like a little brother of super 4.. heheheh

i'm riding 'him' ride now as my second bike. Machine price 4.5k

with insurance and bla bla bla.. depend on age will be up to 5.3k..

if u down payment 800 buckz, u will be paying around 150 buckz per month for

3 years.. my adivce also same, should scrap of the idea of getting a YBR.

yeah!!! bajaj!!! abt the twin plugs... actually the second plugs acts only to burnt of the excess fuel the 1st plug didnt burnt. so in turn it results in fuel efficiency.

but still its 4stroke, neve will beat a 2stroke with lower cc. 4stroke will make efficient transport bike, cheap in maintenance and low fuel consumption.

BAJAJ Pulsar 180(apr06)-(nov07)

HONDA NSR 150 sp(nov07)-(mar09)

HONDA specIII(mar09)-(dec10)

HONDA wave125(dec10)-(nov12)

YAMAHA rxz135(nov12)-

top speed: TBC

mileage: miles away
