Saw the whole match.. Feel sorry for singapore, the defence was atrocious. Even the commentator uses the word 'shambolic' to describe them. Can't imagine what will happen on saturday when we go to uzbekistan home. :faint:

I wouldn't say unknown country.

Uzbek is considered a powerhouse in Asian football alongside traditional giants like Turkey and Saudi, amongst others.

Their players are regulars in foreign leagues, especially Europe.

Just because you've never heard of them doesn't mean they are an unknown country.

They deserve more respect than that.

That aside, Singapore lost because its defence was atrocious.

Had the defence been awake, they could have eke-ed out a draw or even slip in a win.

There were several situations where they were really just ball-watching and not watching the player they were supposed to mark.

Otherwise, Singapore's attack was nice to see.

Very fluid passing and movement.

But still a bit raw here and there.

But take nothing from the Uzbeks. They were a tough opponent with far superior all-round team balance.
