Any legality issues?

For example, must it have the reflective red colour thingy and tail light?

i did a search, some guys asked about fender eliminators as well but did not get a response.

Anyine got booked for fender eliminator issues? care to share?

from my understanding, it is not legal to have no mudguards. but usually, the police close an eye to it.

a rear hugger and a mudguard serves 2 different purposes. rear hugger is to protect ur suspension from stones and debris. mud guard is to prevent stones and debris from flying too high up behind you.

Err?? Mudguard is similar to rear hugger right? So if I have a rear hugger, can use fender eliminator?
good question.I am in the same situation as you. Maybe when I am more free next week will drop an email to tp

Anyone ever rode behind a bike w/o mudguard will appreciate the legal requirement for it.

During rain, the bike in front will throw up the water at you.

i tot as long u haf a rear hugger u dont need a mudguard also can?
not true. i believe i had explained the difference in function for between a mudguard and a hugger. the mudguard serves to protect road users driving/riding behind u. imagine u riding behind a bike without a mudguard on a rainy day, and water that is splashed up happens to hit ur eyes. it's a safety concern.

the function of a hugger is mainly to prevent debris and small stones churned up by ur tyre from reaching ur suspension, more specifically, monoshocks. for bikes like super4, the rear hugger serves no purpose other than cosmetics.

how abt inspection? did they pass u for not having a proper fender eliminator?

But from wat i c especially for Newer Model. Most of the Fenders are so-called stylish in the sense they are nt as big as the Older Models so the Water still Splash 2 the person behind U & as well as Ur Pillion. So like really no purpose sia. Juz my 2cents worth :cheeky: As compared 2 my 03 Bike from My 08 Bike Model :faint:

that is a way to argue things. but let's face it. gahment sector, they will just say having it is better than none. do we not agree that without the whole mudguard, the water will splash higher up than with one?

but why do i still get stones hit on my face and water splash on face when riding behind a bike?? even thou it has both mudguard n hugger..? i find it serve no purpose.. infact it makes the water splash HIGHER..

nothing is fool-proof my friend. it's just a preventive measure, not 100% of stones and water will be blocked. i would like to hear why u say that it makes the water splash higher. interesting that u will say that

Higher  Sure anot??? Further i agree lah but Higher

If there is no mudguard..Even the pillion of the bike will get a fair share of dirt/tiny tones/water on his/her back..With it lesser chances of that happenin but the rider tailgatin/fiollowin behind will still get a bit here and there in his/her face..

Higher or not I'm not sure..Maybe you could tell us how it would make it go higher with a mudguard?
