SBF Official "Where to park" Guide

Eh... Hi guys I'm just got license this week not very sure of the legality of parking for bikes.

Also I'm going to do some part time despatch/delivery but most likely aiming for pizza delivery first cause don't have own bike.

Question is:

1) When you deliver like pizza etc with co. bike or own bike, where you park without getting fined? Or is the parking coupon standard clipped on bike for whole day?

2) Parking on curbs?

Safety tips:

Always STOP at the STOP LINE!

Don't rush. You're not racing for a record.

Always look in front, especially when trying to change lanes, the vehicle in front might jam brake.

Don't be easily offended, a**holes exists, mingling with them gets you sh*t.

if you follow the law...

can only park in bike lots or roads that are legal to park (ie no markings etc...)

lol

if you dont follow law...

anywhere also can park.

just dont obstruct others.

if not... the law also wont "understand" u

Singapore Flyer -- I ride past, but as rushing for time, did not go in, but from my view, the path between the pavement and the first post seems small..and got kerb also...might risk scratching your bike etc?

----------

for the delivery bike question, if u dun put coupon, but please park at legal parking lot and not driving into the pavement or near the lift lobby and block the way of the people....

I also no mercy will complain or take photo and report to authority.

-------------

as for the people who park at discreet corner at void deck, as long as doesn't block pple or become a inconvenient for others, ok lah.

you can also try to park there if you come back earlier than him/her.

Ok, lets stop all talks on Singapore Flyer

Took a pic today and i tried going through it.

http://i42.tinypic.com/2z3ywlf.jpg

As you can see, theres a gap between the curb and the orange pole, so thats where you can squeeze thru.

Small bikes definitely can squeeze thru but for the exit, yes the outgrown leaves will actually brush against ur legs.

And i doube bikes with sidebox can squeeze through.

Anyone tried parking at Police Cantonment Complex recently?

I was turned away. Do you have to say you work for the police

or visit the police or what?

Anyone has info about Sunshine Plaza? I went there, in and out,

inside got bikes. May be it's considered bikes "not allowed"

I remember some time ago there was a lady rider

here very good at writing complaint letters.

Well, i've got one for u.

Taman Jurong Market/Hawker Center MSCP.

lunch time (something like 12nn to 2pm) it's free for

cars to park, big big sign outside says so.

but bikes the auntie will come and try

to collect payment from you. the ERP-style barrier

bikes can go thru. wah, i argue with the auntie until

pek chek just ride off and refuse to pay.

i feel this one need to bombard them with complaint

letters. really discriminate against bikes.

even if u say u work for the police,u have to show ur pass, unless u're one of the directors inside, they'll recognize ur number plate. Otherwise, u have to park at the SGH open carpark diagonally opposite of Cantonment complex.

The bikes would belong to residents of the residential units and tenants of the commercial units. The "no bike parking" refers to visitors.

He who hesitates is lost!
