The last i know, Alexandra Hospital no need to pay? When you go in, go to the taxi lane. Come out, can squeese tru the barrier. didn't see anyone put parking coupon, didn't put in cash card in IU, park there so many times, didn't pay. Don't know if still can do that now or not though...

No need to pay @ Alexandra Hospital. By the way, Alexandra Hospital is relocating to Yishun in coming years.

Some carparks are designed to allow you to enter, and pay on exit. Esplanade's carpark is another one akin to Vivocity. They're outsourced Wilson's parking. Can someone affirm my statement if possible.

 

 

By the way, wiki's being deleted. no idea why. i'll msg the administrator to find out. hmmm!

The only "LEGAL" parking within Uob Plaza area I can think of is Clifford Centre $1 or $1.50... park and walk over, 2 min. Or you can try those small buildings between market street and phillip st. I think they accept bikes at a fee too.

Perhaps we could consider splitting the free parking sections into a few sub-sections:

• {a}Must squeeze through barriers
  
• {b} Let system detect bikes to lift barriers
  
• {c} No barriers at all
  

?

 

I like the system at VivoCity, where the system detects your bike and allows you free entry and exit. Some other places are bike friendly, too, with motorcycle lanes to bypass the barriers (Causeway Point, etc.). Other have shortened barriers to allow bikes entry.
