May i interest you in "the scientist's" previous bike which i am using now... very reliable very strong! Not very fast nor very slow!

Yup can get the rim stickers at Ah Boy kinda cheap... barely $10 bux if im not wrong... its the racing boy brand.... but you have to self paste arh...

 

BTW ITS BEEN AGES since ive meet up with any FZ150i riders... im looking at the 27th or 28th February at night... as you all know the 28th we are getting a little present to ease our financial strain (for those over 21 only ) so why not meet up for a while for kopi and maybe a short riding session... please do inform me if you are interested...

hey guys, my dad's riding fz150 currently. its barely passed 6months and the rear suspension is bouncing like see-saw already. any of you here install aftermarket rear shocks? or is there a compatible one. would a kawa-krr or yamaha-tzm shock fit into the fz150?

Was at Cheong Aik today to buy riding boots. Sigma brand, price $100.

 

Anyway, just to share that FZ250I, Cheong Aik offered $6.4k.

OTR - $6.15k.

Insurance - approx. $250(2nd party - Fire and Theft).

 

Inclusive of GST. Only didn't inquire about IU. They claim the bike is officially import in...not parallel import and comes with 1 year warranty. U guys think it's a good price??

 

Of course if take loan, must add 5% per year.

How old are you? A. S. Phoon quoted me $6k machine price, but insurance 2nd party close to $2k. (19 years old p-plate) Loan same same, 5%. =/

Front ferring is in india it seems... but theirs isnt fuel injected and its made up of more plastic than metal... (unconfirmed info from the web)

Another way is to do your own ferring... how much im not sure BUT i was once quoted $80 just for a custom made belly pan (dat small bottom exhaust cover)... or can also try to import from indon... but then i havent found contacts yet on how to do it... will share once i do...

 

 

 

Hi all, my first post on this forum, and specifically because i have purchased the indian version of the FZ150i. Sold here as the R15. Here are some pics for those unfamiliar with the bike.

 

This bike does come with fuel injection, and produces about 17 PS of power. I have ridden her for about 160 kms atm, and am enjoying every bit of it. Only problem till now is the headlight is pretty weak, and so is the horn. lol.

 

I am looking at a performance exhaust/air intake for this bike, and other mods that anyone must have tried out on their bikes. So suggestions/advice please.

 

Also has anyone tried modified ECU or anything to extract more power from this engine?

very old lah......thus, insurance cheaper. Understand that those 35 and above will pay cheaper insurance.

btw, did u ask whether they got guarantee 1year or not? Cheong Aik claim got 1year warranty from agent.

Hi all, just past my TP on 12 feb 09 @ SSDC(first attempt). Today i went to Mah Motoring and the salesman qouted me FZ150i @ $6100 with ins FOC lousy helmet and raincoat. DP $1500 and need to pay extra $150 for P plate holder just wondering why need so... Int 5%... Going for 48 months installment, monthly $115... Izit worth ??? Pls advice...

Assume it's quoted without insurance. If so, price is about wat I inquired from Chong Aik. Don't know about P plate holder though. Maybe u misheard; I'm guessing the $150 is for IU? Do they provide 1 year warranty? Did u check whether price is inclusive of GST?

As for the $150 if i'm not mistaken for processing fee because of fresh 2b licence holder and he nvr mention of IU.. Forgot to ask bout the warranty wise..

Hm, in all shops is it a must to buy 2nd party insurance? I just want 3rd party insurance. I've really got not much time to go down to the bike shops to ask to quote as I'm busy with work. Anyone roughly knows? 19 year old, P-plate, 3rd party for FZ150i?

 

Sigh, long way more before owning one.
