the R15/FZ150i injection system works like a conventional carburettor system, that ensures proper air fuel mixture with the help of fuel injection, but does not vary it all the time. (atleast thats what i was made to understand )

Thats why setting the AFR ratio is important, so that it helps determine what range of the rpm you want the engine to be most efficient and responsive in.

I set the AFR at about 6000 rpm, and found it jump to the maximum rpm at +4 C0 setting.

this was done by holding the throttle steady at 6000 rpm and then increasing the value.

^^ yes i do. costed me about 9,000 INR. Right now the bike is revving very freely above 7000 rpm, on very little throttle even. But the mileage is suffering. only around 30kmpl.

I guess a sacrifice has to be made for that adjustment then. Nevermind,i'll stick to my normal fuel consumption. Guess that's better. But nevertheless, thanks for the tip bro. ((:

Hi guys. I just came back from malaysia. Changed engine oil (shell semi-synthetic 15-50W), oil filter, rear sprocket to 40T and bought chain lube. All at a total of RM$85. Not bad eh? Anyways, anyone stumbled upon any AM exhaust yet?

I'm sick and tired of my Honda Wave already. Thinkin' of changing to Yamaha FZ150i but still looking for more information for this fz150i.

Does this bike have OIL filter?

How abt the engine oil? How many litres? I saw from yamaha-motor.com.my that it is 1.15litres? Is it correct?

Any bro knows abt this?

So far i haven survey the price for this bike. I intend to survey at Southern Motor and SpeedWay later.....

yes its got oil filter. same 1 as spark135. 4 oil quantity, i tink 1L is very safe. personally, i top up my bike wif abt 900ml of oil. making d oil level juz below full mark n above half mark. slightly above 3/4mark. oil used now is silkolene 15W50. its a gd bike dat gets me to places.

got my FZ150i today! i'll say i'm impress with this bike after 4yrs never ride bike. the bike is easy to ride, it was drizzling today, rod the bike at busy street and highway, braking is adequate thou rear brake is drum. highway crusing at 90-110km/h with 6500-6800rpm. vibration is minimal compare to my wave that i used to ride. bike does not have the floating feeling even at 110. Very happy! gonna do some mod soon.

FC abt 40-50km/l depend on ur riding style. i'm riding 90-110km at highway and can feel that the bike still can go faster :thumb:

i bought mine from shop, 1yrs old, $4.4k machine price. OTR $5k.

cons for this bike: stock tires are tube tires, must change. other than that would be some small cosmetic changes.

i've rode my FZ150i for 1week! today went jb to pumpet, squeeze in 8.5l, rm17.43. FC calculate abt 42km/l. went in with 339km and fuel gauge at 3/8.

went to some motordiam nearby to change rear tire, changed to michelin pilot sport, service rear brake, lube n adjust chain, everything for rm160. total plus fuel i only spent $73 :thumb:

lol. indeed its quiet these days. wher are the rest of the Fz150 ppl? anyway my new rear tire is nt bad, done in jb . michelin pilot sporty.size 100/80, abit small i'll say but no problem even with pillion, can stil go up to 110km/h
