depends lor... normally is when need servicing... i might be going down soon... my speedo the light dunno sometimes blackout, then on again, then off... plus tighten the steering abit... and wan to install alarm...

 

i'm toying with the idea to change to a blue or white light for console.

Hope u dun mind me asking some qstns bein u all had hands on exp on fz150i. I'm currently surveying some commuter bikes and fz150i is on the list.may i know wats the fc like and basic maintenance cost etc...and also riding with pillion experiences. cz wat im looking is something dat is cheap to maintain parts wise and also most of the time im always with a pillion behind..previous rides were spark and gilera...spark is on the list oso but den since new options are available,y not consider..hope can get some infos...thx guys..

Hi there.

 

Currently i am riding a yamaha fz150i. For fc wise i never monitor. Basic maintenance same like other 4 stroke motorcycles oso. 4T, spark plug, oil filter. Every 500km lube the chain.

 

My previous ride was a Honda Wave. However after years of riding, getting sick and tired of the small tank. Before fz150i come out i got the intention of changing to Spark135 cause Spark135 got oil filter which Honda Wave don have. As time goes by i decide to change to fz150i due to the BIGGER tank capacity and also got oil filter.

 

If you think you want to play with accessories, Spark135 is the best choice. If you think you want just for transport purpose and economy like going to work, jalan jalan, fz150i is the best choice. This is just my personal view and opinions only.

 

Just pick which one suits you.

 

Personally i choose fz150i is because of the tank capacity, can go Johor top up petrol full full for just $10 Singapore dollars every week.

 

My usage. Abt 5-6 days then going to finish the petrol. So 1 week 1 time top up la at Johor. If not enough top up $2 at singapore then the rest top up Johor la. More economic. So in the end it is up to user preference.

Thx fer the info bro.did some browsing thru Malaysian fz150i forums as well.one uncle even used it for interstate touring and the bike lasted up to 400+km full tank....nice..will do some surveying soon fer it during my off days..one of my colleague changed his s4 to fz,but we diff shift so hard to try his bike..best get the feel of it hands on den jz admire the outlook....thx again 

Well if u r into fuel consumption and parts to mod only then get spark... If u go for street bikes type, and looks, then get fz150i... Stock fz150i fc 40 to 45, so also not bad...

 

When getting a bike, those cubs n scooters r the last of my list, and I intended very strongly to get a cbf150, then go bike shop sales guy recommend fz150i, til now I dun regret even a bit...

Bro, Honda CBF150 bike is proudly Made in China. I heard the bike got soft fork problems just for your info.

 

Outlook wise my opinion is Yamaha FZ150i looks is better to my eyes la.

Haha even during my spark days I never accessorize it..I liked the handling if spark cz it's clutch type cub, til nw i still can't get used to my bro's wave..jz looking for a commuter bike dat has adequate pick up power to handle pillion,and can cruise 100kmhr with ease...currently surveying ard for best price...

mebe following my bro's footstep; get a commuter bike dat can take my yearly 15k km jalan jalan, n perhaps wen got enuf $$$ get anoder big bike for jalan jalan far far lol....

Heard rumours from my friend's working at Hong Leong MY there will be facelift FZ150i with diamond shape headlight and more improved hp @ torque,Dunno its true or not.Launching date will be either Mid May or early June..

i got mine from asphoon for $4.8K 2nd hand (without insurance), FBD plate, milage at 10K+, 9 years left on COE.

 

Quite hard to find in the after market.

i mean a second hand fz is pretty hard to come by.

trust me i know i tried looking for one b4 getting my own but have never regretted buying my one new.

 

aniway ridewanu my brother rides a spark and i ride an fz so i roughly know what your going through.

keep in mind the spark is still more nimble than the fz but the tank will get irritating if u go very very far like me.

i travel paya lebar and back to jurong almost everyday so my tank needs to be big and hence the fz is awesome.

3-5 days pump once.

 

speaking of pumping bro rxz!

LUCKY you never go ar flint. This kelvin suddenly PUSH my bike in. He says come SUPPORT SUPPORT. Lai change engine oil, oil filter and spark plug. I was like huh? What the heck? Then i ask kelvin FREE ar? Then he answer where got FREE? Then i say dun wan la. Siao ar lu? I just change engine oil last week leh? I come here wan to buy the AGIP TEC 15W50 only ar. Then last he cancel off the changing of engine oil. He so Bad say i KIASU la buy engine oil. Ar give this KIASU AGIP TEC. Aiyo. So BAD..

 

Lucky u never go ar flint.

 

If like that NEXT time if have oso i DUN WAN to go lar. I stay at HOME SLEEP oso more GOOD.

my fz150i is juz 39days young today...but clocked 6000km...hahahhaa

i'm sure none of s'pore fzians,especially d new brand 1 done d mileage like dat in juz 39days rite??? i get used 2 go 4 long distance on 2B bike...even b4 dis i use Wave 100 (not 110 or 125!!), i went 2 kelantan...any1 who wanna go jalan-jalan in msia may contact me..i know alot abt msia as i stayed thr b4 fr 3yrs...i got better eo thn Motul or Agip or watso eva...wanna know more abt dat eo,may pm me..juz rm37.50/ltr can use up to 10000km!!

dat eo made by d biggest oil company in d world...Golsberg Ass if i'm not mistaken...

it got tribology technology dat other eo dun hv...

dun think i'm a msian i'm sporean&stayin in sengkang...bt i'll say no 2 spore petrol...itz a waste

 

& another thing dat i wanna share,fyi u guys may ride all d way frm jb 2 KL 130-140kmh...i made it w juz 85-90% of full throttle..no prob...fuel cons. 4 my bike is 33-39km/ltr on dat speed,(usin BMC air filter)...even w pillion,most of d journey i can make 130kmh...d fc w pillion&a heavy bag w me dat i placed on d tank(no box,i dislike box...cause it'l cause unstable ride on msian hway) is 31-37km/ltr...
