Hi guys. Wah Yesterday just went in JB top up Petrol syiok syiok full full amt to RM$17 for full tank. Hehe. Then go to my Favourite Goreng Pisang shop to top up stomach, makan goreng pisang + mee bakso + tah pow goreng pisang some more. Hehe. Then before come in Cincapor top up petrol some more RM$4.50?

 

Total top up? RM$17 + RM$4.50 = RM$21.50

 

Wahh.. like that is save a lot of $ Dollars leh? Hehe.

Hey gkang it took a while for me to have the guts to go into JB initally. But once 1 did it, it wasn't too bad. We go slow with new riders arnd so no worries. U definately wun be left stranded without any way of getting back. Haha

Familiarize with your bike first. After familiarize then can go in JB. Jb roads u know la a lot of holes here and there. So from time to time u have to be vigilant and alert to SIam ar the hole. Hehe.

 

Like me is different case already. I 9 Years plus riding already. Always go in and out JB until change passport many times liao. Hahaha.

 

Ya u may also tag marcus and flint along every wed they go in JB.

Ok la not bad. I always go in thru TUAS 2nd link. Go thru Tj Kupang toll use the touch and go. Quite a long distance way la but to avoid the jam in woodlands i think is worth it. Can ram full throttle already there. Then all the way back to Johor Bahru town. Go back time thru woodlands.

I read the motorcycle User manual. It states Recommended Oil is 20W40 or 20W50. So what engine oil you all tested already on your FZ150i?

 

Sharing my experience. I tested these oil already in my FZ150i.

AGIP Classic SAE40

MOTOREX Powersyth 10W60 (This one is NOT Suitable at ALL)

MOTOREX Top Speed 10W40

MOTUL 5100 Ester 15W50

BARDAHL Semi Syn 10W40

AMSOIL 10W40

CASTROL Power1 THAILAND 10W40

NASA CL 20W50

MAXIMA Extra 15W50

Btw for those who frequent m'sia, how do u all feel abt the 150i touring capability? So far this bike serve me well on sg road. It can easily hit over 100kph, jus that i don dare to ride too fast.

 

(Step)Kang n i did a trip up to Malacca with the forum guys. Totally enjoyed it even with the bigger bikes arnd. Stock condition of the bike can easily hit 130km/h if i remember correcty. But yea. No need to go dat fast. Especially in sg. For touring, u might wanna join others 1st. Best is with some1 more experienced. But only when u r ready.

So 150i can be use for occasional touring.....glad to hear that. My bike cant hit 130 as it has a box. I would like to join the forum trip to msia if i have a chance but i'm not sure abt the 150 capibility to do so.

gkang bro, this bike go to malacca no problem at all... can definitely go further... dat time we r in convoy speed mostly 90 - 100... sometimes got some catching up to do will travel up to 120... tat time go touring is my first time go in malaysia with my bike, so tat time i also new... first time enter thru customs, first time touring... u didn't try, u'll neve know... new time got sbf trip we chio u go too ok...

from 0 to 120 very fast, but anything faster, u need to hold max throttle n wait for the speed to increase... but reach 125 for my bike i feel like a bit shaky n not safe le... maybe is weight not so heavy plus box, so more likely to be unstable... comfortable max speed for me is 120 ba...

me try motul 300v 15w50, maxima 15w50, agip tec 15w50 these 3 only... but so far my butt dyno feel motul 300v is the best among the 3 types tat i hav used... my first motul 300v mileage hit 10000km then i change... still feels ok... but i hum so better change... next oil i'm going try Shell Advance SX 4T (15W40) follow by liquid moly's...

bro... hlc's motul 300v $28 very cheap le u know.... u go other shop see how la... i went motoworld... $33... so ex... anyway like i've said, motul 300v can use till 5k to 8k mileage no need change... now currently i'm using it... shall see mileage can hit how much until it becomes not very smooth, with my hard riding style now... liquid moly give it a try la... price if i'm not wrong around the same as agip tec...

Btw I still have v little knowledge of maintaining this bike. The bike shop ppl tell me to change engine oil every 2000km, change spark plug after i change my engine oil twice. Is there anymore things that i have to look out for?

which shop ask u change oil every 2000km? unless u're using mineral oil... then ever 2000km change... semi synthtic oils can last 3000 to 5000km while fully synthetic can reach 5000 to 8000km... but once u feel change gear not very smooth then maybe its time to change the oil already...

 

for me, spark plug n oil filter change every eo change... in addition, check ur coolant level periodically, oil ur clutch cable regularly, n tire pressure check regularly...

hi....fz 1560i is vry2 capable...i'd made 23700km in less thn 5mth...hahaha....150kmh is ez 4 me...but itz hard 2 get abv 135kmh w a box installed....wat steap kang said,130kmh is for his bike...cz his bike got box...bt mime is w/o box...150kmh can get...but most of d time i get 140-145kmh..any q's wanna ask me??i'm experience alot abt dis bike

i use d best eo in d world&it last fr more thn 6500km.....hehe...btw...i juz changed my g-power to iridium plug...itz a wow!!!!

&my metal treatment is completed oredy ...w d combination of Xado engine revitalizant&iridium spark plug,d bike is vry3 light...even go up genting nt heavy....triple wow fr it

fr me....300V is crap...itz doesn't satisfy me cz i had been used bttr eo thn 300V....fr performance wise,d eo dat i'm using giv more speed....engine protection is superb....i had used 300V&d engine vibrates to much...&now i use my eo(JTX 1000) ,d engine is super silent&auper smooth...0-100kmh in juz abt 5sec on flat surface road..

 

300V is abt 30nM aft 5000km,but d eo dat i'm using is at least 55nM.....

fr new oil= 300V 60nM ,my eo= 95nM

 

i had talked abt dat eo on my prev posts(few mth ago)

 

abt d spark plug...dun wry too much...i had used my g-power fr 22000km &d cond still ok....avtually d shop wants money,datz y thy say evry 2 eo change...if me,will die....cz my 2 eo change (12-13K km) will make me die if owez change spark plug....

in msian fz150i forum,thy say dat iridiums can last fr abt 100K km...got comments abt iridium users in dat forum dat thy had used fr 30K km &no prob w it....itz bttr 2 use NGK CR9EIX cz itz a cooler range...
