Hi all,

i decided to go change my bike engine oil soon. But however I see the HLC page, even though there is lots of EO brand, but which of them are semi sync or fully sync? I prefer to change get a fully sync EO. So which brand u all prefer to use? Does HLC really give a free wash for if we service our bike there?

Yours is NEW bike is it? If NEW is not advisable to use Fully synthetic first. For the 1st 3 oil change advisable to change mineral 4T to break in the engine. After 500km change for 3 times then after that u can use what ever u want. In HL Cycle u can use AGIP Classic SAE40(mineral) for breaking in the engine.

Yes there is bike wash after every service in HL Cycle.

Fully Synthetics in HL Cycle.

Maxima Extra 15W50

Amsoil MCF 20W50

Amsoil MCF 10W40

LiquidMoly 10W50

Motul 300V 15W50

Agip Racing 20W50

Shell Ultra 10W40

Fully Synthetics in HL Cycle which is not suitable for Yamaha FZ150i

Motorex PowerSynt 10W60

LiquidMoly 10W60

Hope that helps you bro. Pick the one you could afford. Don't forget to change the OIL filter too for the 1st 3 oil changes.

Thanks for the advice, RXZ. My bike is a 2nd hand bike, total milage almost 15k already. So I gonna go for fully sync EO. I assume the auto bay is like a multistory carpark and HLC is on the 2nd floor?

Then btw which fully sync EO is gd for our bike? I prefer my bike to have better acceleration.

Yes Kaki Bukit AutoBay is like multistorey carpark. Correct HL Cycle is at 2nd Floor. I dunno for sure which fully synthetic is gd for your bike as i myself always use semi synthetic only.

Maybe u can try ask xsuicidal, flint, step kang? These riders are the premium riders that always use fully synthetics on their bikes. They are more knowledgeable abt fully synthetics on FZ150i.

As for me I am budget rider that's why use semi only. Hehe.

I jus went to HLC today (my bike really cmi liao).... Changed my EO to agip racing as recommended by the person there and also change my spark plug to denso idrium plug. Installed a voltmeter on my bike as advised by a fz 6 rider who went to service his bike there.

The mechanic detected that my paper air filter is choked and damaged and chain is loose and damaged. Sian..... Everything cost abt 340 bucks....

After changing those things, I feel that my bike is now much smoother.

Better detect those potential hazards before it snowballed to a bigger prob.

it may feel as a pinch now, but consider it as a small investment to allow u peace of mind when riding your bike!

Agip Lacing, Voltmeter, iridium (kao.. how to spell) spark plug, BMC air filter... small items to go a long way..

many many things can be done... but would recomend dat u take a look at what we've done be4 u proceed (dats wat our LKS are for)... cuz there are juz so many... but honestly, u dun need to do all... take us as the guinea pigs then do your research...

in the end, you ride YOUR bike... not the mech, not us, not the shop...

see u soon

Well don't forget to lube your chain every 500km bro. Proper maintenance of the chain will bring u a long way to longevity. If u want clean chain can also try GT85 with Maxima Chain Guard.
