TAXIS again....

The purpose of my topic is to inform newbies and remind ourselves to be aware of them, the b@st*rds on the road.

I understand that there's alot of posts about them but let's discuss how we can protect or rather defend ourselves.

 

Another bad encounter with a taxi driver awhile ago prompted me to re-start this discussion.

Muth@foOker, cut into my lane without signal and also tell me to becareful and don't die otr, when I asked what was his problem?

Managed to take down his plate number thou.... .

 

Bad cabbies

 

What do you guys think?

1)Do nothing but blame ourselves juz because we're on 2 wheels and small.

 

2)Can we actually lodge a complaint to their respective co. if we got hold of their plate number?

 

3)How successful issint?

not only newbies... any old bird.. riders like us who ride on the road everyday sure ever encountered this...

 

As for me... I HATE THEM!!!

 

the lousiest driver in s'pore!!

 

Don't mean to blame ALL the taxi drivers.. but think they're blacksheep who make me to have this impression towards them...

ah..those stupid taxi drivers..i hate them so much that whenever i see them on the road especially in front of me, i will over take them and avoid them as much as possible

Why don't they display complain hotline numbers like some of those delivery bikes?

 

 

IMHO, some of them really drive/ride like the movie Taxi. The French one.

Easy brothaz... take this cabbiez as "obstacle" ,"Dangerous Obstacle".

 

 

Without them we will fall:sleep: on the road...

 

With them 24/7 on the road... we will be WIDE AWAKE definitely...

 

Positive mind is important on the rd... Or it may lead to RD RAGE...

Bout them cabbies....in my 18 yrs of riding never met with an accident...have a few close call with them cabbies...but way back in 2000 it cost me a broken nose and a fractured ankle.....and a battered...bike lost my h/p too that day...

somehow we rider cant TOTALLY blame those Drivers for been reckless or "anyhow" drive on the road(thou they have rich knowledge on road). I believe SOMEHOW we riders do play a part as well for not been alert and play MUCH attention on the road. Im not speakin for any taxi company nor my dad. juz my 1cent opinion. Flame me

True enough we shld play a part by being alert and paying more attention while riding then to wander off looking @ some pretty gals walking nearby.

But still do away all those abrupt lane changing or dashing out from the side road just lidat certainly wil b much better !

 

But in their eyes we r just those squeezing, zig zaging all over the road bikers. Actually no matter wad kind of vehicle u commuting, just b responsible for other road users will do

No offend here...How many times did u see on the road when there`s an accident there`s a TAXI involve? I think if we were to get all the statistics of all the traffic accident (which we will not do ...where got time) i think the data will speak for itself.

I've always wanted to post their number plates here.

But some forumer here definately will say wad, it's not nice lahz, they oso got mouth to feed lahz, blaz, blaz....

 

Even if I post a few number plates here, I doubt pple here will ever remember n recognise it otr, needless to say I encounter them almost every month.

I think Merc cabs are generally the worst lot.

Juz last nite, 1 joker tried lanesplit his cab, cut between my bike and another one on ethe other lane. Wt?

Too bad my horn can't shatter his windscreen. Gave him the thumbs down, but that's about all we can do.

 

Met undecisive drivers(u kniow who they are), drivers who think bikes are there for them to whack and bully and bikers who think they come from MotoGP.

 

Riding in Sg really sux at times.

Definately do not like anyone that drives or ride dangerously.

In a way that may cause me to get into an accident.

As Riders, We should always be cautious when there are around.

Be observant.

 

See a Pax, see a Taxi... U can be sure the taxi will cut towards the pax.

 

See a pax in the taxi directing the taximan... slow down and

be ready for the taxi to do a sudden turn...

 

Then continue on with your ride...

It is part & parcel of riding on our roads.

 

Be happy u were above the situation

rather than getting all upset and

spoiling the rest of your day!

 

Sure... give him a loud horn to remind him of his rubbish driving!
