It is when power is wedded to chronic fear that it becomes formidable.

okie guys here it is

ok here goes ....i will try and explain how I did this in order

1 I took the cluster apart ...there are 3 nuts that hold it on ....you have to take the windscreen off to get to them..and then one plug and out she comes .....after that you hav eto remove about 6 screws for the back of the cluster adn it will come apart into 3 pieces .....once you seperate them you will have this in your hand

I took out the tiny bulbs that lit the display and then I needed to solder the led to the board ...I found out that they even marked the board for polarity ...which was great .......once soldered you need to leave a long enough tail on the led to be able to move it into position on the front of the board.

http://www.zx-12r.org/PhotoPost/data//500/medium/DSC03530.JPG

now once you do this you have to take the displpay of off the board adb remove an orange filter ....you have to bend the metal tabs pn the back of the led display and pull it offf.......the display will come apart and you just remove the orange plastic adn put it back together like you took it apart ...

there are two main bulbs for this display and that is where i tied in the leds ...I did hwever put in the led bulbs overall ......one on the top and one on the bottom adn one on the side between the display and the tach....this is where it got a little tricky .....you need to leave the light for the tach in place or yoyu will have a dark spot on your tach ...but htat light also lit up part of the lcd ....so I had to divide the two of them ....I ran a small bead of silicone on the board and mounted a piece of tin foil on the silicone to act as a light barrier.......one side the tach side get the regular light and the lcd get the led .......

There are three wires that you mess with on the 34 pin (large connector) that goes into the computer. the three wires are,

1.black with yellow tracer

2.solid light blue(no tracer, and gold dots)

3.solid yellow with gold dots

1, and 3 are easy to identify, but the light blue leaves you with to different wires. they are both light blue with no tracer and gold dots. it says to use the lightest blue, but the lightest blue is an aqua color, or bluish green, so I had to call Muzzys. after a bit of investigation, they got back to me and said it is pin 22 in the 34 pin connector. on one side of the wire there is a orange wire, and the other is green/black wire, so this makes it the light blue(not aqua) one.

Anyway you cut the yellow wire, and tap into the yellow wire from the 34 pin plug end with the yellow wire from the muzzy box, and leave the other end open.

Then you tap the blue wire from the muzzy box onto the solid light blue wire(don't cut), and tap the black from the muzzy box to the black with yellow tracer(don't cut). that is about the jist of it. It looks much better after you re-wrap the wiring harness. Its hard to see the colors from the picture, but you get the basic idea, hope this helps. also the wire with electrical tape on it is the incorrect blue wire.
