i all the way trying to catch up with him nia hahahhaa... he stunned me by suddenly standing up while riding to adjust dunno wad... for my size i standup, i scare the footrest break :D

if u dare to open throttle, shld be ok for sg roads, if i normal pick up from traffic light, on par with taxi, if i whack, then faster than taxi.. but if u compare to bike, then i dunno, cuz i so heavy hahaha then those small size with other bike, pick up sure win me ma hahahah..

run-in wise, some ppl go for 1k, some 2k, some errr like 5k? if i not wrong, u check the owner's manual for the manufacturer's recommendation.. for me, i din really run in, nid to whack i still will whack... my pillion + me + barang barang exceeds the recommended rpm lo.. if below 5k rpm, i dun nid to up expressway liao.. cuz with that weight, i nid to rev till 9 or 10 le.. if not wait bike stall hahahha

Well.. stryker. What you would like in a yammie R125 cannot be satisfied in another bike. Like wise for rwr 125r. You got to find a compromise somewhere :/

For me, I compromise a little on the looks and like to have a lighter impact on my pocket :)

Aiyoh... asked before and answered, now ask again! :(

@iceimmortal & @guiderer - look here

@guiderer - looks like you can expect some engine issues later on in it's life as you're not observing proper run in protocols :)

Also, your foot rest won't break. Either loose some weight if you're still afraid or learn to trust the bike. Bottom line is if you're riding around being afraid of damaging your bike, you can't ride with confidence. When bikers lack confidence, accidents are just waiting around the corner...

Be wary of the source of information for your bike's maintenance. Some FAQs are compiled by people who lack the technical know how. :angel:

In singapore, there is no point of getting yamaha r125.. it's just sucking all your petrol.. RwR FC is the best among all sport bikes.. it's more like a transport sport bike..

to ramsnake, u may get me wrong a little =) but it's ok keke..

similar to the link that u gave, the whack wasn't often and neither was it prolonged.

i wasn't that concern about the bike's safety, but my own..

nonetheless, i thank you for your concern about my engine and overall safety cheers~

when i says i dun really care abt running in, it only means that i will try to adhere as much as possible, but when situation calls for it, to a certain extent, the protocol have to be compromised.

how to get on expressway if i limit to 5k rpm, at 3rd gear and the bike isn't even maintaining speed, it is losing speed? to the extent that during a trial at 3am, my spd dropped to around 15kmh (2nd gear 5k limit, upslope). possible during that time, wad about time when other vehicle/s might perform dangerous maneuver cause of the road hogging?

not challenging your experience but sometimes, it's just not possible to be 100% following the protocol.

ultimately, we wanna the best performance, least problems and all the safety we can get from our ride =)

Oh ya, and if i get the roadwin i was thinking to switch tires, from the Swallow brand to BT090/BT045.

Do anyone know the cost of the tires? Which one is better? I heard 090 is good but last shorter..am i right?

i can't give u a comparison as i've such limited knowledge on all the bikes.

i can only tell u my personal experience from my first svcing (500km). the only thing i paid for is engine oil, the mech recommends me then i get, 2 bottles @ $50, but use only 1.5 bottle, the other 1/2 bottle will keep for next engine oil change. so for 2 change of engine oil, that's 3 bottle of EO. price varies from what u wanna get. other than that... nothing much...

tyre wise, i think basically from the earlier posts of this thread, best recommended is bt39 or bt90, with bt 39 lasting longer? price wise i'm not sure too, if u got the info, maybe u wanna share with me? i intend to change to bt39 (when budget allows) meanwhile i will just be extra careful...

did the HJC helmet cause you some discomfort on the sides of your head?

Mine fits ok with a M, just that the top is a little 'hollow' ahr.. the feeling.

I'm looking at RPHA-10 @ 450.. Not so bad thus far. HJC good to buy?

hmm, initially it will cause some discomfort, but after u use it for some time, it will fit the contour of your face. mine initially is tight like hell, now is just nice.

if your budget allows, y not?

I think you are too used to rwr. Cause rwr is the only bike that is full size ahr.. so comparatively cbr125r, cbr150r, R125, R15 will all seems to be smaller. Think the other one that is of the same size is RS125. Maybe that are the 'Europe' size thats why. XD

up until now, i'm still dont understand why sillyporean riders r so dumb struck on fuel saving.

if u understand tat lean bike cause more harm than running ur bike at stoichiometric ratio (14.7:1) air/fuel mix.

if u ride a kup at 40km/l, i understand coz kup is light with small 4-stroke engine n thin wheels.

but any bike tat is larger n heavy should not be able to defy the law of physics.

penny save on fuel but dollar waste on damage engine.

here the reason why lean engine coz more damage:

1) lean engine runs hot, the leaner the hotter the engine runs.

2) if the bike cooling system is unable to cope with the heat, it's coolant will boil.

3) overheating engine will cook the engine oil, breakdown it's properties thus coz premature wears n more frequent eo changes.

4) plastics, rubbers n gaskets will be hardened due to extreme heat from engine.

5) lean engine does not run at it's potential performance.

6) burnt spark plug or even burnt piston.

etc. there r many more to list.......just think of heat can cause.

many newbies always seek out or out do others by boasting their fc r super lower than kup which i find they r heading the wrong way.

stock bike is already in lean state, set by the manufacturers to meet euro emission std so tat they can sell their bikes in europe countries. in asia or third countries, no one cares about it, as long as it's cheap to run.

many experience riders riding superbike will buy n install power commander on their bikes to retune efi fuel map from stock, but unfortunately small efi bikes do not have gadgets to remap their efi fuel map yet.

when anyone weights >70kgs plus pillion claims or boasting their fc is >35km/l on their 125, 150 or 200cc;

first, u will notice their engine runs hot.

second, their engine dont performance (means it's slow).

if anyone want to save fuel, there r simple way to do it rather than running lean;

1) do not travel above 60kph.

2) twist the throttle gently when moving off.

3) coast down to a stop.
