and I did not install the anti-hijack cos i dun wan anything to do w my engine... u got install?

It is a wire that run to your CDI. The anti-hijack function is u can kill off the engine when people hijack ur bike... but i personally also find it dangerous, wat if half way the thing hay wire while u riding???

If u connect that wire, u can also remote start your bike without using key. U see ur remote control, go try to press the second button (just below the unlock) twice to see will ur bike start without key. If can, meant u install the anti-hijack function liao.

This function may harm ur CDI in the long run, so I din install that. So far the shock sensor alone serve me well. But as long as u dun use this function too often it wil be ok.

Maybe we talk more this sat? :D

ohhhh..i see..i didnt wan to harm my cdi too..yup..i realy looking 4wards seeing u n asking tips regarding bikes n stuff..

Glad that u love ur bike so much... my bike is white so I also spend alot of time to cover it, polish it whenever I free... in office haha... cos if I go home then not much free time.

I think ur engine die off issue probably is to do with your side stand switch. Got a few bro experienced that due to lack of lubrication at the switch, it may not pop out even u lift ur side stand up. Maybe u wan to check that switch again?

yup..u were right..the mech says that the wire n switch to the safety of the side stand or someting is not working..so they make it unattached and see if the probs still there..if i wan the safety features back can go any time n connect it back..

Yo Vic,

is too late for u to say anything now. the most important is do u enjoy riding it as for the service thing just pay it lol...

Hey Alex yea its me.Then whats the point in giving me a free servicing booklet when my servicing is chargeable.I went to the show room during the Dec period, they didn't tell me.I guess it makes sense to the company coz to not tell me the offer, is to save costs on EO and EF...But heck its a real stain on their part that they didn't mention to me.Perhaps I' was too new a rider.Fault is partially mine. But I didn't know.

Oh hey Kaka thx for the reassurance by the way regarding the LEDs.It made sense as long as I ride safely not breaking any rules they probably won't stop me.

Ninja your joke's a reality man.Free workmanship lol:dozed:

Alex I do enjoy my ride lol never said I didn't mah!:cheeky::cheeky:Anyways Roni sms-ed me regarding my aftermarket thoughts, said it was untrue well................I NEVER FLAME CKA!!!!!

READ the PREvious post ppl!! I'm an avid parttime salesman for CKA recommended it to my colleagues my friends. Thats the thing about the Forum coz you can really give good or bad reviews and remain neutral for the benefit of all.PLUS there are countless posts by me on the Excellence of CKA's service so PEAce

Bro, this is a public forum, so anyone will read one or two post and they will get some idea. As I suggested, maybe u shld talk to CKA regarding ur opinion about their services?

Hi all,

I've installed the SPY alarm for my rwr too, so far seems to be working fine... Also some stuff I'm contemplating but have some questions...

1) Horn, will changing to a louder one affect the battery?

2) Lights, HID ok? Heard that they need to modify something and it takes up more battery or something like that?

Basically I'm just concern about adding stuff that might affect the battery.

Also, I'm a new rider, so wondering if it's normal to rev the engine to around 8k for a bike like the rwr? Any recommendations on how to store bike cover, raincoat on the bike? Is the limited space below the seat suitable for putting a piece of cloth, a pack of tissue and some other small stuff?

Besides the regular servicing that we go to, is there any maintenance that we should do on our own?

Thanks.

PS. Ninja, went and got the tank bag you recommended, pretty good. Thanks! :-)

is this bike still 8.5k otr? the more i read abt this bike, the more i feel it's such good value

i'm slightly confused about how it looks though .. catalogue pics, kinda ugly (really looks like a commuter bike wanna-be sports bike) .. but then when i see actual owner pics, actually v. chio (looks like a real sports bike) .. can't say i care too much about the colours available though

i wonder if this bike will hold value ... how long do you guys intend to keep your rwr?

for me i buy a good expandable cord from motoworld,or any shop...i use it to strap down my raincoat n bike cover together at the pillion seats..that is when im going to work..but if going out to jalan2..wont bring bike cover..if bring raincoat will put in a comfortable bagpack..haha...

the maintenance wise is lubbing the chain ownself..thats wat i can think of coz when go for service the mech will check all the thing for u,or even u sense someting is not right u can ask them to check at the same time can nask them to do someting abt it..thats a good point buying at sole agent..special treatment..right bro ninja..??

Hi ian, welcome to our rwr club, btw wat is ur rwr color, and u got from where?

some of the ans to ur Qs...

1. U can install the electric horn such as stebel magnum or hella, they r legal. So far it doesnt affect my battery, cos its not that u will keep pressing it for long. But if u install the air horn (illegal), then u may need to ask them to put in the relay for u.

2. HID is no no. And in my opinion it is not necessary on our rwr or if u just travel in SG. Only those people go for long distance touring will install HID or fog lamp. If u wan white light, can buy the bulb from CKA, just plug in only and cheap.

3. RwR is DOHC, meant its power only come in during high reving. If u wan power, then rev it hard... the method is for each gear shift, rev to almost near to red line then change gear. U can do it after running in your bike. Sure power.

4. Under seat no space... after u put ur spy alarm etc very small space. Anything just put in ur backpack lor. U can put any small barang under the seat if got space...

5. Everyday if u free, before or after ride just go around ur bike to check. Anything loose, or leak. Also check the brake fluid level etc. U shld also lube the chain as much as u can. Wait u more pro liao then slowly u can disassemble ur bike n DIY some stuff...

On the brochure it may look small and slim, but in real life it is huge... maybe u can also check out my blog to see how my size compared with the bike... I am 178cm, about 80kg heavy haha

So far all first hand... u may have to wait for another 1 yr or more to see second hand one which maybe cheaper in value... first hand all quite ex...

Pls try not to use the cord... it will scratch ur side fairing at pillion seat... I kena liao... so now I only put all things in backpack...

Yeah CKA service is good, no worry, anything just ask them to check... but as I said, everyday u also can do the admiring + touching + drooling session on ur bike... pre/post ride check...
