Rental of Motorbike

Hi guys, I Just passed my 2A and I have a few questions to ask, I tried searching the forums but no specific post on this, if have please divert me thanks!

 

So anyway, I am thinking of renting a bike, cb400 specifically, but I have checked rental coy in sg and the price of rental is in my view ridiculous, although I know its expensive to apply for short-term insurance. So what I want to know is that if its legal/possible to rent a bike from an individual? so it will go something like I'm added as a sub-rider and I can help him do COI for my months of rental plus any top up of insurance due to my age and years of experience.

P.S I only need a bike for about 2-3months

can add as subrider for insurance no problem but not allowed for commercial purpose.

 

Officially, he's just a fren who doesn't mind adding u as a subrider and letting u borrow his bike for that 3 months. but in reality, any other arrangement is a private affair. no one needs to know anyway.

Certain bike shop have bikeshop rental service, but the price will make you off.

 

Private rental may caused a lot issue.

Thanks for your replies! apart from bnh, starkholdings and unique motor sports is there any other rental coy that you guys can recommend? I have checked the prices for these 3 coys and all quite ex, that's why thinking of renting from individual
