When to Change Shaft Oil for STX?

Brothers riding STX out there, may I know when is the time to drain and flush out the shaft oil to new one. Manual suggest 12K miles but read some foreign forum they change the 1st 1000 miles then every few hundred miles till the last drained out is clear then for next 12K miles.

wat i suggest is do it with ur EO...if EO is 5-6k then alternatate..if EO is 10k then together...shaft oil is cheap...dun save on it

Agree.. I change my everytime i change my EO. 1 shaft is 1k. 1 bottle of shaft oil (use 4-5 times) is only $20..

I tried motul, royal purple before. motul is thinner then royal purple even it states that both have the same specs, hence every EO change the motoul will stink like hell when open. As for royal purple its slightly thicker its still in its purple state when its due for change.. Power wise. No difference

Woah ok..then my mech sure sianz if everytime change shaft oil stink like old toilet haha..

im thinking of Mobil 1 or perhaps any better one?
