hahah... anw ahpek i want to ask something

wat grade engine oil is recommended for long distance/touring? any u can recommend?

10/40w or best 20/50w but I think available in mineral oil only. If you prefer and makes you feel more confident using synthetic..go for the highest "W" like 10/40W and get a tin of STP or Blue Coral oit treatment for vicosity enhancement 4 litre 10/40w with 1 tin STP gets you closer to 20/50w.

Nothing beats having X-1R added!..its where all the protection and performance you need for hot continuos riding. Not promoting but recommending something I've been using for so long and yet nothing at that price comes close.

so it doesnt matter whether its fully synthetic or semi isit?

in the case of OWS 5w60, fuchs 10w50, maxima 15w50 and 600ows15/50 whats the better one for long distance? OWS5w60 is it? since the W is the highest?

also ahpek do u service ur front fork by urself? i need to know how many ml of fork oil to use and what fork oil is recommended? and where to buy and the price too. :) hehe sorry so many questions. i know the seals and rubber cover for the frt forks can be bought at FJT for $27(both forks).

thanks in advance

There is no such thing as which brand of oil are better.."better" may be who puts in additive that makes the oil performance better llike added metal conditioner or double esther etc. Oil are all the same and how long it last is how you ride your bike...for instant, continuosly running at high speed 3/4 of the time compare to riding at high speed at random, the reliability of the oil vicosity at end of the varies. If you ride hard and in long continous distant, change more often as the heat and stress burning out the grade of protection is more, if you ride like day to day routine run about, frequency rate of change can be much much longer. If you have additive like X-1R..you can have both worlds..well protect at hi-speed and longer change time.

Fork oil recommended grade is 10w..some ppl put 20w for harder damping. Not sure yours is a Vtec or non-vtec especially PB1. The fork for PB1 id longer and so are the spring. Capacity from 450cc to 490cc should do great. If its too soft, can always add just another 10cc to 20cc of 20w instead of 10w.

Yah...change oil is easy..and if your fork has a drain nut right at the bottom, its even easlier...otherwise you have to rake your front wheel and take them out and do it. Changing fork seal and dust cover can be quite a task. The best is to get your own fork oil *so they won't use 2T instead) and have it change. Service and seal replacement varies from $90 to $150 (at Teck Thye..this guy is thorugh and uses fork oil). If you want to buy fork oil..get branded one like PJ racing fork oil or Belray etc..not those mototiam looks like pack in backyeard ones..it could be 2T inside..I can't tell even

Depend on model and wheather oil filter is changed along or engine gear box open up dry..less 0.2 is good.

my model is spec 1, where can i get pj1 fork oil cheapesT?

also capacity in cc? what is cc? ml isit?

No point looking for the cheapest...run here and there to save a few dollars..you end up paying more for petrol used. LAB may have..but I saw once at a bike shop opposite Ban Hong. Yes..cc and ml are "unit of measurement" for liquid. "cc" stands for "cubic centimeter".
