Huh?...you meant to say "used car eo" or using "used" car engine oil?

If you are saying using car engine oil that comes in four or five litre type...yes...I do it all the time. if you are worried or hear say about "clutch slipping"...I don't have that ploblem at all..gone are the days where clutch plates used to.

I use car engine oil all the time, blend and improve your old viscoity (depend on bike age and riding style) and your own 'esther' :D metal conditioner. In the end, your 'customised' eo is more expensive and suitably shiok than those top more_2, ma_cee_mah..or whatever...:D

Not to worry...go ahead. They are all just motoroil that vechcle need to use. STP or Coral Blue oil treatment is just to make the oil thicker (vicosity) but make sure you add the correct ratio (1 tin to 4-5 ltre)..otherwise too thick, it would 'retard' performance at higher rev.

Its those metal conditioner additive that we should be worried about..like SLick 50..etc. They must not contain particle coating etc..as you would get slip clutch problem because its too slippery and our wet mesh clutch needs friction. Only X-1R and Power Up so far I know is recommended for motocycle.

No mototiam will ever tell you that the calube, or shell helix etc..are good for use..they have they livehood on the oil they carry. There are post under me (have to search) that provides debates thru "white paper" about eo comparison of that of car and motorcysle..actually no different sort of..like Mobil..they use friction fortifier which many other brands of car eo don't advertise.

Its up to each individual lah..basically do change your eo timely and if you can save on $s why not..and with no problem of slip clutching.

Did try out with shell helix(meant for car) on my Sup 4.So far no major issues encounter..Only cons is ur gear shifting may get a little bit harder when EO get old & dirty.
