Hi guys, Was thinking of getting the husky 125 sm but after talking to a few people, i came to notice that they all highlighted a same point - overheating.

I understand that the 125 is a race ready motard so long distance riding (Est. 70km/day) under SG's humid/hot weather might cause the engine to overheat/wear n tear faster and stuff. Can we do anything about it, eg: better coolant or some other kind of improvement? Is this problem common for other motards (MX125, KTM2 etc) as well?

Motard riders please shed some light on this. Thanks! :)

yo bro...

few questions...who these ppl who says huskies overheating?are they huskies owners?

im not a husky hardcore honcho but i juz happen to owned an sm125 so i believe my 2cents worth r based on actual facts that i experienced first hand..not some assumption based on hear say or my mechanic/friend told me this, blah blah, blah ...

i haved owned my bike since 2nd may n currently the mileage is 4900km n up till now,not a single nano problem emerge..zero,ziltch..which surprises me,i expected husky to have some electronic glitches, which is typical of the italians but so far none at all.

so if u do simple maths, its arnd 55km daily n never once did i see the radiator icon even blink...

my baby have be used n abused on the track n in races couple of times n yet it came up strong.oh n i ride to tuas for race/track days n after some hard thrashing,i ride her home n she still feels alright during the ride home(after last weekend race i hve yet to service her) n im riding her on road too as my car is in the workshop,my only gripe is the seat, its narrow n a wee bit hard n this is classic case of ride till backside pain but for track use,its brilliant, easy to slide bum up,down, left, right.but u get use to the seat aft awhile

sm125 is awesome,i feel it sud be able to withstand daily road riding, tall n lite,.easy to weave around traffice during jam n enuff power to get in front of traffic n outta of potential harms way.

as abt maintainance, regular routine servicing is all u need.any vehicle thats serviced religiously will be in prime state.

wear n tear:so far after all those hi-revs,over-revs,redlining,.the only thing i had to change was the tyres, the rest of the internals still sounds good.

i will be doing a piston ring change soon but thats only because i feel a need to after all those thrashing..

hope this helps a little

cheers dude
