Dear Folks,

Came across this website talking about Hard Break-in is good for the entire life of the engine especially for the first 20mile. (32km) of new engine for the valves to sit-in properly. http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm.

Have anyone tried this methods before and any comments.

BUFFERING: Give yourself space. People driving cars often just don’t see motorcycles. Even when drivers do see you, chances are they’ve never been on a motorcycle and can’t properly judge your speed.

I can't help but to feel that it make sense.

I have a scoot. Brand new. First run in was not ideal. cos kanna stuck in those traffice jams that bike also can't move. So it kinda consume oil.

later sencond run in due to overhaul. Raining season. so go max 60km/h. THe oil consumption is worst.

Final last run in due to new block and piston. I just ride normally as if it's run in. Pick up to 100+, let go to 70+. As long no constant rpm throughout.

found that using the new method. My engine won't consume engine oil anymore.

For a new bike. If you license is fresh. meaning just get your 2B or 2A.

Or the new bike is a higher class (2B to 2A, or 2A to 2).

I would sugguest letting race werks tom do the dyno hard run in for you.

$100+ I think.

Just spend $30 to get it towed to race werks. and let them do the dyno hard run in.

He worked in as an engineer in a German MNC in the automotive industry, so his posts make sense.
