For me, my avante go to about 560km on full tank. This is without the red light blinking. I think maybe about 580km red light will blink. After red light blink I dunno can go for somemore how far.

Anyway, I use 95 petrol and full tank about $70.

The avante seems okay but build quality loses to Jap cars for sure. Price wise as for now, not very convincing and very very overpriced for a Korean car. Just knock on their doors or interior can tell alot of it. And please don't tell me of the crumple zone its built for with that softness, it just won't justify..

I believe Koreans are serious in making a mark in the auto industry, they are practising what the Japanese did years ago by overengineering their cars to make an impression on consumers. So explains the reliability and high test rating, and to entice consumers, they purposely priced it economically, no where near luxury pricing. But overtime, when their brand sells, they may start to cut costs here and there liao. Japanese are not cutting costs for all cars, only the low budget ones are not so good, but the luxury models are still value for money. But haiz, the downside is Japanese becos of budget and high demand for popular models, have to outsource their budget cars and even some luxury models to Thailand, China for assembly, these i not really comfortable with. Whereas Koreans, they are still assembled in Korea. Regardless of which brand, i do consider the country of manufacture lor.

Yeah agreed, even b4 i stepped into Hyundai and Kia to check out the avante and the cerato forte, i was looking at jap cars and all my frenz as well as relatives say buy jap cars better. But me being me, i will read forums, check out reviews and even overseas webforums b4 making my purchase and feels that the rating for korean there are quite good. But over here they are making it sounds like it's not worth due to it's low resell value and it being korean.

Specs wise and build wise after test driving i find that korean cars now really are quite good. Of cuz don't talk about the good jap cars like steam, accord, camry, etc. But for the price and the things they throw in, why not. Haha.

But avante and forte, both really are good cars. Handling, power, speed. Aren't they comparable to entry level jap cars with super lot more features..? Hmm.. Though this is an avante topic but, i settled for the forte SX 1.6. :cheeky:
