William, HL sales force does not even sure what they are bringing in! So I guess we will have to wait for it to happen to take it from there. My take is either they are trying to get rid of current 04 Majesty 400, or HL is simply too big to know what's happening within:sweat:

 

Cigku, madcow, ard77, I hope you guys are still on this thread. I have a few questions to ask:

 

Does G on YP400G denote Grand Majesty?

 

Keen to know. How much and how often do you change your rear and front tires?

 

Coolent boiling and spillage sound bad, how often do you refill in real world condition?

 

Are the vibration happened during idling or travelling?

 

That's a bunch of questions, but I know of no other pple than you guys to ask.

Some answers to your questions

Yes, G stand for Grand

 

Keen to know. How much and how often do you change your rear and front tires?

Have not change tires yet, original tires still in good conditions.

For better tire wear and tear always maintain good tire pressure.

200 psi front tire 250 psi back tire.

 

Coolant boiling and spillage sound bad, how often do you refill in real world condition?

Have not encounter spillage yet. I had not refilled it since last year. Might do a purge next time I do an oil change.

 

Are the vibration happened during idling or traveling?

Vibrations happen during idling, smooth during traveling. But hey I have no qualms about it… it is the characteristic of the bike

TQ Maddie for your prompt reply. do you think is it wise to wait for the 05 model, or buy a brand new or second hand 04 model? Here's hoping the 05 model should arrest some of the pet complaints of the 04 model, or is it not?

Hi all,

sorry for the interrupt,

 

According to ibike.com.hk magazine's review. the different between the 04 & 05 Majesty is, there's double disc on the front wheel for the 05 model and there's only single disc for the 04 model, and that's the only different. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi EarlyBird,

 

Thanks for the link. I digested the 04 and 05 write-ups. You are right that the different between the 2 is a double front disc brakes. But then again, Cigku said the 05 model has black colour. I would love to have a black Majesty 400, looks cool to me.....

I love the outlook of the Majesty 400 as well....Black or Gunmetal will be best!

 

Only grumble I have is that it's a little heavier compared to the Suzuki Burgman...

I nearly got the 250 majesty. Its more responsive and agility is better than the 400 model.

 

But I intend to use the bike to go to Malaysia on long distance. So I got the 400 instead.

 

If travelling in singapore ONLY than the 250 should be OK. Consider the Honda Forza 250.....ABS etc. Havent seen one in Singapore Yet. 250 models I think feul consumption better and lighter.

there is a shop on the opp side of ASP serangoon that carries yamaha parts.
