majestyboy i suggest u change the fuel pipes it might be hairline cracks due to aging. Its normal cos when normal use the pressure leak not significant thus ur engine dun cough. But when u drag more pressure loss thus fuel starts to leak out den insufficient fuel entering thus cough.

Hey guys, ask you. Are there any signs that the drive belt is going to fail soon? Like slack or belt tension?

I think mines well past the 20,000km mark already. I don't have a habit of full throttling the bike, always crusing everywhere at 70-80km/h max, accelerating gently to save fuel and drive belt.

correct me of i m wrong but i know that the time frame for belt change will be @ around 20k....... :thumb:

When u felt that your pickup is lousier and slower den normal, that means the belt tension is loose or expand already and is time to change a new belt already. Do not drag too long too cause to save abit of money but ended up the belt snap inside might spoilt even more things.

my 1cent worth, pls correct me if im wrong.

i've got a close friend riding the 250, bought 2nd hand, rode for 20000km, went to 494 check belt, found out still very new condition. carried on riding for another 10000km, check the belt again & found out still very good condition. but he tired of checking without changing. so change to a new one and kept the old one as spare.

but a reminder, harley run on belts too. its also stated that harley belys can last 100 000km. but have u guys ever heard of harley belts breaking at 300km??? its a matter of fate. its good to run in your new belts before wacking them.

I had my majesty OEM belt checked by Mr 494 at 12,000k it has some cracks thus he advise me to change... I change it to Malossi one...

He says lifespan of Majesty OEM belt is about 12,000km...

Malossi maybe better... But i dun have the chance to see it break as i sold it liao :giddy:

I think I better take a look at mine. Whenever I park my bike overnight and it rains, the next morning the clutch vibrates quite badly when picking up from low speed. Goes away after awhile.

vibrate alot sometimes is because of engine cold hence when start bike, the vibration tends to be more than normal. once bike warms up, this shouldn't happen anymore.
