Hi Fz Riders,

Give me yr thought..

Just changed tyre to Michelin Pilot Road 2 w/balancing, HEL Line w/bleeding & EBC brake pad.....

Now when I push bike, "Front Tyre" had irritating screeching sound, when turn the wheel at stationery, same screeching sound and not smooth.

While braking, felt this jerking feel....

Is problem caused by new BrakePad? Faulty? OR Poor tyre balancing OR bleeding?

OR can it be the DISC/Caliper? Bike is only 18mth old le....

No such problem B4.

Any advice that helps please.....Thanks All.

The rotors might be getting stuck. Do you run the bike with a dirty front-end a lot? If you have access to compressed air, blow some into the brake-caliper assembly. You should probably cover your nose, since a lot of black brake dust will come out. This should also release the brake pads off the disc rotor, reducing effort and sound.

As for the jerky braking, note that the HEL lines will make the braking sharper, so while that is a good thing, it'll take some time for you to get used to it. Another thing to ensure good brake-force is to "bed" the rotors. Google the instructions to bed rotors. If you've already ridden a lot without bedding the rotors, you will see discoloration (in the shape of a brake pad mostly) on the disc rotor with uneven rotor bedding.

Because your bike is only 18 months old, I don't think it's time for worrying about wheel bearing grease. If you tour A LOT, then maybe. Also over-tightening the axle seems to be unlikely, but worth a check in any case.

Hope this helps.

There should be new gen2 2010 model FZ1 in the market. New bike price is about 20k- 21k. You can go to Bike production, ASP and they are Hong Leong agent bike. Looi motor should have also but there bikes are all parallel import .

main difference between 2010 and 06~09 models will be the remapped ECU..

other than that will just be the cosmetic differences like colour schemes.

Stock is good...Choose your weapon wisely and enjoy it...you can have all the $$$$ to mod and in the end you can't make full use of it....
