met a blue fz6 rider on the road just now with arrow exhaust at the PIE eunos exit.. happen to be any1 here?

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

ya man.. this feeling of my bike now is terrible. Gonna change on the saturday.. hard to pick up now. haha already 17200km ++ liao.

yo peeps!! wana ask some opinion... my mine is FZ6 Gen 1. wana know if leo vince sound is better or akrapovic is better? akrapovic only have muffler. for leo vince there is a full system on it..

 

any advice?

I'm trying to try a cheaper one.. on budget after paying insurance. lols. 1 yr old already! time really flies...

 

probably iridium power? heard is $45 for 4.

 

go for packages like those offered at unique lo... iridium pretty ok le... try go for number 10 plugs... same price but cooler...

if got budget, go for dual spark ones... :D

if u wanna go for sound and purely sound, go for leo vince...

it's cheaper than akra somemore... monie worth for the sound...

for leo vince, it's not full system, it's end can + mid pipe...

hey guys, i'm thinking of installing h&b side case (40L). Just wondering how much does it cost for the whole installation (racks and side case).

peeps.. having some difficulty on installing leo vince into FZ6 due to my box. cant live without box.. mine is a GIVI box. according to unique, the bracket will hinder the installation. anyone who install leo vince with GIVI box? any advice on it? how about scorpion? unique intro scorpion to me. they can mod a bit and install on my bike. but to my knowledge, scorpion is not a very good pipe. they intro carbon scorpion with mid pipe. any advice?

it can be done.. leo vince is 1 of the more common exhaust for fz6 here and i have seen riders with givi topbox and leo vince exhaust. sounds like some sales tactics going on here. they can mod if you buy scorpion, cannot mod if you use leo vince? -.-'''

yup.. hanzer, if bikeshop not willing to fit that semi-circular bracket for your givi rack, you can try bending it a little yourself. if still cannot, i know seng kwang can help you fit it. they will bend your existing bracket, file abit if needed and fit it back on.

i have seen my exhaust with givi rack fitted online before, i told the workshop that fitted my exhaust it can be done, he say cannot so his mech decided to stop trying. when i reach back the workshop to take my rack and box back, he was shocked.

 

so if you have seen it done before, dont listen to the workshop mech rubbish.

mine is FZ6 S1 model. manufac in year 05. they say seng kwang can fabricated the bracket and fit nicely. but cost might be ard 5 to 6 hundred due to stainless steel. zzzz.. i have fren riding S1 FZ6 with leo vnice. but his box is H an B. so wana ask ard see if anybody here with givi box got install leo vince exhaust. if yes, maybe can give me guidance on how to install the rear bracket. according to the shop, the bracket is too short to install onto the screw after putting leo vince in. but scorpion pipe they can install it by adding the length of screw and some small mod onto the bracket.. but for leo vince they say they don have confident. possible if any bike shop got do before then i purchase the pipe from them and bring to the shop and give them install.

 

cos on low budget, no choice got to get from unique as they can pay by credit card. i can pay my cc by installment. unless there are shop that provide fitting on leo vince with givi box plus paying by installment.

 

if not i don have much solution already.

actually both leo vince & scorpion are oval end cans but i did not measure the circumference of them before...

from my personal view, scorpion is like slightly longer in circumference compared to leo vince becus the "space" created after installing...

if that is the real case, if scorpion can be done, i don't know why leo vince cannot do... right?

 

i would say, jus go install wadever exhaust you like la...

for top box, if unique is unable to do it, i'm pretty sure other bike shops will be able to do it de la...

 

my 2 cents worth... :)

once again, is it sales tactics? 5-600 for that bracket? or bracket + rack? if bracket + rack then the price is believable. skmic IU bracket is $70, a customised bracket to hold a wingrack on super4 is $100+, i dont see how that 2x semi-circular bracket can cost $500-600. at the very most $300, already very exp.

s1 i not too sure, s2 there are a few here riding s2 with givi box. i dun think there's difference in the mounting points of the s1 and s2. correct me if i am wrong.

if i were you, i simple save up and buy from other shops who can do it. alternatively, buy the exhaust already take your bracket and ask other shops help you install.

 

anyway, i was facing the same problem as you. that's y i can know roughly what you can do. difference is, exhaust brand and yr of bike, what's worse is i already bought the exhaust then the workshop tell me "cannot" fit.
