Forget about that bag lah...i find it useless on many occasions.

Cos the GPS basically sits inside the bag and is covered by a transparent screen. Given the FZ6/ FZ1's handlebar/ riding position, most of the time the sun will be shining directly onto the cover, cant see a damn thing.

can self improvise mah. if you are to sew some material to on top of the transparent screen, it would cover the sunlight, vision of the screen would be better.

just like how i cover the top of my hp screen with my hand so that i can see my gps. but i think i should be making use of ram mount + a waterproof case to mount my phone soon lah.

hi everyone, i just got myself a fazer 600, hmmmm... think its 2008 model.. the day i got my bike, i have been experiencing rear tyre wheel lock regardless wet road or dry road. would like to know if anyone here has got this experience also? pls advice me. thanks. i dun brake very hard on my rear.

not that i know of. shouldnt even happen. you want to check with your bike mech fast.

sounds like u still brake pretty hard on your rear... or the adjustment area...

Bros, can mount iu on fairing? I wanna mount IU on the fairing, near to the speedometer console, any idea if use 3M heavy duty plastic velcro will make the unit airborne? Lol

i dun think i brake too hard on my rear cos even on dry road, when i engine brake with just a bit of rear brake, my back wheel is locked and my bike start to skid already. sometimes if sudden red light, i can skid a car length which i think i very dangerous, thats why i posted this to get some advice. thanks... i really need to know whats the possible reason before i go down to my mech...

sounds like a case of jammed brake piston seals to me. A fresh set of seals and a brake bleed should do the trick.

V/C should cost between $200-$300 depends on models & which shop u go to.

The last time Racewerks quoted me within that range for my FZ6, required me to leave my bike there for at 3 days.

I got mine done at Sporting Motors in Dec for $150 (+GST). This didn't include changing any parts apart from one gasket (I think it's the one between cylinder block and head).

 

I haven't done much other work at their shop, but their mechanic Meng Tong is very highly reputed and respected. If you go there, make sure you speak to him directly to ensure he's the one who does your work. Good luck!

Is there any problems that u face by ust mounting the IU with the 3M velcro or is it stable??then how bout passing gantry any issue??enquiring...hehe
