I dun think there is a need to do a switch to off the light when starting ur bike, cause there is a auto cut off relay in ur bike will cut off the head light when u crank that time... u can observe properly ur head light will off n on again when u start that time. correct me if i am wrong.

I think to save battery life, off the HISS(for spec 2 & above only) for ur bike ba... (suggestion only)

BTW as long as u happy just do it..... cheers

Hi guys,as i know all new S4 headlights will automatically be switch on when turning the ignition key, just wondering can a separate switch be install to turn on and off the headlights at will without messing up the entire wiring system and which is the best place to install the switch and also the price. Thanks

D.I.Y

Had install mine at k&t for $50. can call to check if still got stock. 67455463

$50 is way way out! chopped chopped chopped!! carrot head!!

hi just curious y do u wanna off your main headlight switch? its supposed to be mandatory for bikes to on their headlights 24/7 while on the roads. pls enlighten me tks.. :)

save batt

50 bux for a headlight switch is utter nonsense...

totally agrees

$50!! are you kidding? a switch dun even cost more than $5..

totally agree with you, a bypass headlight switch shouldnt be so expensive..

a personal preference to have TP to stop you OTR for not turing on your headlight during the day..

Yammies are good, the headlight will only turn on after the bike is cranked..

for those still searching to do the headlight switch, ask your regular mechanic.

buy him a cuppa coffee, you might even get it done free..

seriously, my S4 had a headlight switch, but i never used it..

D.I.Y is the best rite? :cheeky:

$50!!!!!!!!!!!!!! arbo i help do, $45. no need call ask got stock bo. i buy everything standby, do 1 switch can earn back 10 times the materials.

when bike low batt, cranking cant start, on the lights help to drain the batt faster?

u $45..i charge $10 can liao lah..hahaha..ez $$..give mi less den 10 min i can finish the job liao..ahhaha

yah...although i have the headlight On/Off switch made...Now i seldom ride without headlights...Too many TPs ard....Risky sia....:goodluck:

i used to off my lights during the day..but now, i'll make sure my lights r on..bcoz...it's HID!!!

yrs should be the best price liao...mine done at $25 :sian:

lol.. now you know why you paid RM15 for it only ah.. it should be one of the wires came off only lar. knowing the JB bike shops use black tape to secure everything. tear off the black tape and check the connection.

easy to diy one mah.. cut off the ground wire, connect up to a switch u're done..

cost:

bought @ sim lim tower

switch $1

wire 1m $0.80 cents

1) remove ur headlight case

2) unplug ur headlight bulb connector

3) the connector u cut the green(if i nt wrong) wire into 1/2 and spilt it so u can connect it wif the wire u have

4) make sure u wire tap the points

5) link to the switch and mount it

ure done

better way is.. the point u cut off aft baring out the wire, connect it to those wire connector kind.. male n female normally 1pack sell abt $1+ only.. got abt 8-10.. at least it's more waterproof than wiretape

Recommended to use high current rating switches, single throw/single pole On/OFF with outdoor waterproof switch capping. Cost about $8.50.

I also interested... Where sell tat the switch?

I got it together custom made with a small mounting "S" shape rust proof bracket..total cost me $22 and just have to DIY the wiring. If you guys interested, just the switch or the whole thing..get a few together and I see if I can get him to make again. Pm me please.
