Choosing Exhaust systems..

How do you choose exhaust systems?

e.g. Can a delta exhaust which was used on a tricker250 be used on a ninja 250?

 

How do you know which you can use and which you can't? following capacity of engine?

 

All i know for sure is 2 stroke exhaust systems cannot be used on 4 stroke exhaust systems and vice versa.

 

I don't wanna just TRUST the mechanic.. Anybody care to comment?

Go to the official website to search for your bike.

 

Take note of Year/Make/Model and the Product ID. If you are getting a legal exhaust system, check everything printed on the certificate.

In this case you have to trust your mechanic to mod the fitting of the exhaust. Every end can or full system are made to fit specific group of bikes. It does not mean an R6 exhaust can fit to a GSXR 600 just because they are the same cc.

Try fixing the exhaust yourself to try and see. If cannot, you need someone to mod the fitting, at your own risk.
