wht kinda of setup are u into.. Passive or Active?? SQ or SPL??

as there are so much range in brands in car mobile audio.. therefore setting a budget range for ur future car audio setup would be a ideal solution as M factor are usually e main issue. Diff Brand, range n specs of Amp, Spk, Player n Woofer would serves diff purpose as according to ur kinda of music taste..

Generally mix n match of audio items are still e best combination till now so far.. Not forgetting the Head Unit player of e car plays a important role too... As there are so much brands n range in audio item in SG, it would be best if u could audit e sound of the speakers n woofer of e brand of ur various choice at ur specific audio shop dealer so tht u are likely able to noe wht suits u ear best..

slowly upgrade.. a fairly well set of I.C.E. can cost as much as $5k..

But reason is i really love music, so i dont mind spending money on it, as it can be move to my future car....Upppp

i went to a shop at woodlands, they qouted me $1000 for just 12 inch woofer and 2 small tuiter:thumb:

yes its would be a gd start to start off wif a set of component speaker for e front n if budget allow one can match it wif a woofer n amp.. well indeed $5K budget one should be able to get a decent package to it..

well generally most audio items can be transferred fr car to car.. but e rear speaker may varies due to diff size inview of e design n spec fr the manufacturer..

Yes its does look simple but turns complex when one demands for something better in sound n willing to go into detail in his/her audio/music world.. well a 12inch woofer has to be power up by an amp likely a 2ch or Monoblock so base on e quotation u got it should be there as brands n specs of e amp n woofer will varies e cost of it not 4gettin labour charges..

well it is true tht if one is a hardcore ICE enthusiast he/she can spend more than jus 10K.. on avg most enthusiast spend ard 10K-30K but at times it can goes as high as new 1.6/2 Litres car or a small rm HDB (if i am not wrong there are such hardcore ice enthusiast in SG..

 

last but no least ICE is a Posionous things jus like souping up a Type R, Rex or EVo wif performance parts..

Wow, that ex 5k.....

 

5k a set lah. not just speakers..

 

a set means 2 underseat amps integrated 10" woofer, with capacitors,

4 6" components

4 tweeters

branded DVD player

labour and tuning..

 

if i got this $5k, i'll not get the set..

my budget for ICE, is abt $2.5k.. all i think i need for my "family" car is a DVD player and 1 amp/woofer under my driver's seat with just the front speakers changed to components.

 

the rest of the $2.5k will fund my bike :p

Personally i feel silent is abit over charge for their items, and they're not direct specialised in doing ICE stuff. If u really going for spider brand, you can try call those shops that we listed above and see how much they charge. Dun need to go down every shop and ask.

used to patronise tht shop as recommend by my colleague.. workmanship are fine n operating hours starts in e noon n last till to e nite

 

as for Silent, they are located at commonwealth where those car mart are.. n there are other outlet avail now heard one at Ubi while e other at Truf city...
