bro, u r using the arrow type hugger?

i think the arrow type hugger gives more clearance to the tyre but at the same time like what you encountered, will touch the underside of the storage compartment area thus scratching the hugger at the arrow tip... :giddy:

the normal type hugger give very little clearance but i hope it will not touch the tyre due to vibrations ba... cos i getting my normal hugger soon...

Sad to reply... i am using the normal hugger :weep:

Er... icewater mine no scratches yet... coz the suspension i raise by 1 the 4th one i think... wont hit the compartment... unless u pillon a very heavy guy... and the arrow type hugger quite alot allowance from the tyres so.. unless the hump really very sharp or else i think it wont hit...

Oh ok..cos juz putting the endcan doesnt have much diffrence in performance but it'll boost ur bike outlook and the sound will be much "nicer" to hear.

I am now using pre-load 4 as well and praying hard when i pillion

So i guess the verdict is, mechanically, it is possible for the rear hugger to touch the under side of the bike (Mine has scratches to show).

Possible solutions to the problem...

1) To make it mechanically impossible for the hugger to touch the under side, use suspension raisers, though some may not like the new rider position with more weight on the hands.

2) If not, REMEMBER to change the pre-load to at least 4.

There might be an adverse effect(chain will elongate) in a long run. Some forumers already removed it as soon as they notice the chain problem. Its individual preference

You are referring to adding suspension raiser or increasing the preload?
