Hi! i'm very much a noob when it comes to bikes. considering taking a 2b licence but i need some clarifications on the bike i wish to get after i pass. perhaps whoever owns/owned any of the bikes or know much abt them can give me their 2 cents worth..

my preferred bike according to preferrence:

1) vespa lx150

2) yamaha fino

3) phantom ta200

4) bajaj pulsar 180

i wish to find out these things abt each of the above bikes:

- what's the current OTR price for a new bike?

- how much should i expect to pay in maintenance every mth (new and 2nd hand)

- how much insurance will i need to pay (23yo, male, p plate)

as a general guideline i would be prepared to set aside abt $150/mth on instalments and another $150/mth on general usage, maintenance, fuel etc. does any of my preferred bikes fit this budget? if not, what bike would?

pls help this noob. thanks!!

$300 should be more than enough to maintain a 2nd hand bike. but if u are deciding to upgrade to 2A then better get a manual bike.

and also how much u intend to down for the downpayment is also a factor for how much u'll be paying. best is to down at least half or more then clear the rest within 1 yr. will lose less on the interest and can sell away if u wanna upgrade.

hope this helps

u need to be young and reckless to become old and wise..... if u survive
