Help Needed..

Hi All,

 

 

Need some help from you guys out there. Happen to go window shopping at Geylang serai area recently, Came across a car dealer when i was looking at a Fit'08, After some discussion, he asked me to put a deposit of $10 for checking if i can get a loan approval. Signed some paper for the bank approval. Didnt notice there's a sales agreement behind those bank approval letter as all paper is stacked onto one another. Covering the letter head of the papers..

 

Now the point is, my loan approval is approved but i dun wish to get from this dealer cuz he's selling way to ex than other & also there's some problem getting rid of my current car.. BUT he kept calling(1 day at least 3times) and said that if i wanna cancel of this deal, there's a cancellation charge of $3000.. Didnt mention anything about this when i'm signing the paper(admit there's partial mistake on my side for not checking).Checked with my friend who was with me the other day & he also didnt heard of the sales man saying anything about cancellation charges or what so ever.. It seems like i'm forced to get the car from him..

 

So any guys out there ever encounter this and can give some advice?

u r not interested in the car for its high price in the beginning

n since u r not buying it, then why waste the $10 to apply loan??

 

aniway, since now loan approve already, juz gif him the $10 to drink coffee.

he cant do much to u . coz usually, if u wan cancle the deal, u onli lose the deposit. tts it.

 

unless he gif u sign ani funny funny paper?? then i duno liao. lol

why dun you call up the bank and agent direct to cancel?

 

I'm not quite sure what you can do except to do these two and get a clearer picture.. Coz sometimes these salesman gets overboard and start threatening you with cancellation fees and what not..

 

Your mistake is to sign without reading, which I believe many - me inclusive - sometimes do with negligience.

 

Hope you get to solve this matter without much $$ lost...

Reason why i try out to get the loan is because its the 1st shop i went to.. & like what the salesman says, no harm trying.. After that when i go ask ard, dan i realise the price was quite steep.. Thats a agreement letter stating that cancellation fee is $3000. Thats was the paper that i didnt notice nor did he explain as it was stacked below other Bank loan documents.. Which he said all the documents is bank loan documents..

As the car i'm lookin at is PI car, agent they wont bother.. Loan wise also ok.. But now is the salesman side, telling me all this cancellation thing i need to pay $3000..

maybe the $3000 cancellation is not even stated there.

sometimes they just wanna easily makan one.

While with aching comprehension, you realised the surrealism of deception has silently engulfed your purchasing agenda. The repercussions of your negligence gripped you like an absolute stalemate. Either you pay him the fabricated charges or you succumb to his exorbitant agreement.

 

If there is truely as you have described, there were elements of subterfuge through deliberate concealment of the letter head, you should raise this issue to the police and regard this as fraud. On the contrary, if the police are reluctant to bring forth any actions, you have only yourself to blame for such negligence.

 

I have always taken measures to avoid dubious parallel importers. They are plagued with countless uncertainties. The punctuality of delivery, the integrity of the price and the constancy of the agreement.
