Sticker License plate

I want to remove my front plate number and paste sticker on it, white base some more, isit legal?

I too thought that sticker licence plate is legal until I was stopped and fined at the same stretch of road twice on consecutively 2 days by the same guy. First day without number plate $70, 2nd day Number plate colour wrong $70, On the 2nd day, he explained that if my front is black, my rear must be black. If my front is white my rear must be yellow. On top of that, my number plate must be srewed on. And not stick on.

 

I went to make a sticker number plate, wrap it up in telt sheet , poked 2 holes on the extended part of the telt sheet and screwed the 'soft number plate' on my bike and on the 3rd day saw the same guy again on the same stretch of road.

 

This time, I finally passed. By the way, the stretch I met this same guy thrice was during the year end and outside Jalan Bahar SCDF towards PIE.
