Don't bother. I am back home. Being spoon fed is never my preference even though I thank the gesture with gratitude. I travelled without the aid beyond the boundaries of public transport or rental cars without problems in Europe and Asia.

Just returned from Malaysia. Was in KL most of the time even though I conducted seminars in Miri for a day. It was a mesmerizing location. And having 2.4times the buying power definately feels good. Everything feels so cheap. But flying on the plane 4 times over the past 5 days is definately wearing me out rapidly.

But many events took place during my travels. When I turned on the TV in my miri hotel room, I saw the news of Obama's victory. This is a landmark victory as the first black president of the states is going to replace the Herbert Hoover alike George Bush. But Obama certainly has a lot of cleaning up to do. All the mess left over by his trigger happy predecessor. Then, this morning, I woke up to find out that the Bali bombers were executed quietly by a firing squad last night on a remote island like the Château d'If of le comte de monte cristo.

The breathtaking spectacle from an elevated view at Miri (East Malaysia) overlooking the shores of the oil rich sea. Approximately 2hrs flight from KL Int'l airport

I think you're only interested in these photos.

MB SLK200 R171 Cabriolet 2L, 184Bhp, RWD, MotorCode:271.944, 6 speed manual transmission. Top speed = 245km/h (top on), 235km/h (top down)

#2 Housewife car in Germany. Too fast against regular cars, not fast enough to chase after the Targa I met on Autobahn & tailgated by a 330D. Excellent drivability with fantastic drifting characteristics. Drove it from Schweinfurt to Konstanz to Friedrichshafen to Austria and back to Schweinfurt in 24hrs. Then drove it from Schweinfurt to Wurzburg to Stuttgart and back to Schweinfurt the next day. Excellent drive. And the car is very dirty after 2 days. Dead bugs scattered all over the bonnet and windscreen. You need to close the windows when you bring down your roof. Else bugs can hit you from the side. Trust me, it's disgusting. Germany has an excellent weather if you go during summer. On your blower but not your air con compressor. Save your fuel and power wasted on the air con compressor. Great place to bring your wife there on a road trip. Euro is dipping. :cheeky: And Germany is the better countries in Europe. Both France and Italy are :faint:

When are you getting your Lotus or S2000? Or do you intent to sell your 147? If you need a rear seat, go get the VW Scirocco or Audi A3. Fast with a reasonable price. And if you were talking about Evo X. If you mind the interior so much, then don't buy. You cannot compare the interior of an Alfaromeo to a Japanese car.

think must plan for family.. lao liao leh.. if i get the s2000, i'll prolly end up putting a babyseat in the boot in a couple years :faint:

OK... Send you via email instead. Too many photos to upload.

There's no such things as best of both worlds. Hope You Understand Nothing's Drivable And Inexpensive

You want something that looks good, feels good and priced good? Hahaha... But the best compromise is the BMW130i... Slightly higher on the price tag but powerful car with an excellent vehicle geometry. If not you can lower your price range by getting the VW Scirocco since STI and Evo does not fit all your purchasing agenda, you will have to make do with a higher price tag.

and tell me winston, when did i ever say i want best of both worlds at a low price? i never said it a few years ago, and im not saying it now. dont jump the gun man!

im just undecided, stay with something whose looks, interior i like (it gets abit boring with not much power)? or go for something more power

obviously we all arent uber rich so those super high end cars are obviously out of our range yes?

The cheapest Evo in Singapore is about 130K. 5 speed manual, 280bhp and 422Nm?! But don't forget japanese cars are speed limited here. Breaking that requires $$$ and void warranty. Something which new cars always try to avoid. Continental cars on the other hand limits the speed at 250kph which can contain more cares. Frankly speaking, with 130K+, I'd rather get the Golf VI GTI or Scirocco which can be about the same price. There's also the DSG factor which takes care of both your beastly driving and your meek family man driving style. You are now looking at a compromise of everything, VW provides you with the excellent answer. Tell your tigress that VW was founded by Porsche & currently owns Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Skoda, Seat and Bugatti. The brand name may sound rather weird 'peoples car'. But still you cannot deny the superiority of the German marque. And I can honestly tell you, VW share the same technological platform as the other cars too. With a greater budget, VW builds car with excellent quality and great pricing. I don't understand why your tigress is so against VW.
