hi bros,

after some time, i have almost confirm my clutch housing problem (based on a few motordiam).

when i start my bike after some time (engine is cool), once start, there is a "thruk" "thruk" "thruk sound.

it goes off after when the bike is warmED up.

OR

when i engage a gear, the "thruk thruk thruk" sound immediately goes off.

does any bros here met with this problem before? i was quote 260-280. i was thinking to get it change, but i am thinking if clutch housing problem will lead to any other problem, thus there may be a need to change any other related parts?

does changing the clutch housing ensure that the sounds goes off or they may be some other parts i need to prepare to change all at once?

please share with me your experience, it will greatly help me alot! thanks alot! =)

Its hard to tell or say what else could be affected. The best is to quickly have it changed..when in the works, then you would know what else if damage..if any.

Is it a loud thruk thruk sound or soft tick tick sound? Cos i believe many of us have this small tick tick sound when the engine is cool.. It's the tensioner thing.. Heard from motordiam that it is quite harmless except maybe performance might drop a little..

bros, when i engage 1st gear, i can feel my bike is going forward even thou i clutch in.

does it mean my housing is gone?? what if i never change it??

bro i think there's no problem with u're clutch housing. u just gotta change the clutch plates. its worn out.

That you can't. Clutch housing is clutch housing and is the most expensive. There are six pcs..each usually cost about $11.00...housing is about $200+.

If this happened still after you exhausted all your biting point adjustment..very likely it can be but the possible of your old clutch cable stretch is oso possible...either one.

what if i never change it??

If you do not replaced your clutch plates timely...your clutch housing liao....expensive!...worst...no spare!...been there about someone bike. Better go get it done.

The sound you describe if comes from mid engine block..its your cam chain tensioner. Clutch housing I never heard of "thruk thruk ". If you think so its clutch housing or the mech say so...are you having any sort of clutching problem...you should!

hi bros,

its the clutch housing. the reason of why having the "thruk thruk" sound is because of the clutch housing.

the clutch housing is attached with a gear plate, and housing and the gear plate in between is a rubber attach. if its worn out, housing and the gear plate will produce the sound during the cold start.

i have change the clutch housing and the sound is gone. its 260 with gasket.
