How abt the K&N filter? Any idea for which bike/car filter did they modify it from to fit your RVF?

 

I have been told that K&N does not make airfilters for RVF for quite sometime.. I might check with Pipercross.. Quite a popular and good brand.. i bought for my Aprilia RS125 but havent put in yet.. My friend using it for his R6, he said quite good..

i went down 2 first motor... 4th floor where they do mouldin.... they got the samples there.... they got quite a few.... infact a lot.... but like these guys said he is overcharging... he quoted me e head fairing 280... tail 280 n e undertray i guess 180.... w/o painwerk....

I doubt the BHp will increase.. I've stated before, the HRC CDI merely overcomes the rev limiter and accelerates firing.. there could be a increase in BHP.

 

Best thing would be for you to dyno before and after putting the CDI so we can know for sure. As for where to get it and price, I believe fierymonkey is kind enough to state that it's $280 ordered from overseas excluding shipping..

Hmm, what do you mean for racing??

 

i do plan to bring my RVF to track sometime, like how i'm using my aprilia now.. And if i'm not wrong, the filter for my aprilia only needs to be oiled once a year..

 

every 5000KM seems like quite frequent servicing to me..

sure dude.. no worries.. I'll let you know.. most prob end of the month when i get my tuition fees, i will order.. so that's you, adidas and me interested.. let's see how fierymonkey's alarm is also..

 

As for the thermostat mod, it seems good.. but i would prefer to leave my bike as untouched as possible unless it really needs to be done.. If i'm not wrong, the thermostat mod is basically causing the fan to work all the time instead of when the bike heats up..

 

Just curious, during normal riding for all you guys, where the the needle at the temp gauge pointed at?

Severely overpriced endcan IMO. another 300 would get a street legal yoshi/mircon..

 

Anyway, it's the header that really makes a difference, not the endcan...

Any idea where to go to get my RVF Engine tuning? And roughtly what's the cost?

 

Guess it's a must as the previously owner changed the exhaust pipe and never tune the engine.
