hey guys was wondering something.. mine rvf seems to be leaking some engine oil or some other substance when i park my bike.. and it does not smell like petrol do you know wat is the problem. can some body advice me if you had this problem before. i went to the motor shop the mech told me is a rubber shield or something but when i change that it still leak drop by drop; dunno why also.

this need to overhaul to change the rubber... if it is not serious, check ur engine oil once a week...

hmmmm.. i see because i ask the mech than he says is that rubber seal worn out or something. i change it already but it is still leaking. my rpm have also start to be unstable in idle mode. dunno why also .

ta ma de... just change my batt and rectifier last sat, now bike cannot electric start again... wth... anyone give some advices? think the bike is wirings problem too... my previous bike change batt and rectifier 6 months once.. this bike worse...

 

ur battery got power? check by switching on the light and press the horn...

 

then try to push start, see can start or not... if u able to start the engine, test the charging effect.. see the volt meter got reach 14V or not =p

You go bike shop check ur rectifier connector and the right hand hand side of your bike got another connector use 30A fuse 1 these 2 areas everytime the connectors get burnt 1. If u electric start still got the cranking sound ur carbon brush inside the starter motor is ok

 

RVF^DES, it sounds more like a buzzing sound right? If it sounds like a bee, your battery is almost flat. Moreover, if it happens in such a short interval of 1 week, suspect that your charging system is malfunctioning.

 

Voltmeter is one of the ways to check, as noted by Yuan_ , but for my case it was different:

 

When that happened to me once, I push-started my bike. It simply sputtered as I kept my throttle up. Engine died off when I let it go. Turns out, my rectifier has been fried (found out the next day) and the battery remained at kosong power because my spoilt rectifier didn't charge the battery at all during that tiring process.

 

(TMD, it even broke down at an underground carpark, Basement 4 somemore...)

You can try ask Motoworld bah since they authorised agent for Yoshimura products in singapore. If not u can try see HKL. If not u can get GPR pipes Loud yet street legal but no power la
