Guys/gals,any of you got factory jets to sell to me?

Hi y2kredbull,

Are you currently looking 2nd hand set? They don't come by very often. How about considering a new set? Heard Sporting Motors' (next to the Ducati shop ard Lavendar) bringing them in.

Since we're on the topic, anyone had any experiences or useful info on the Factory Jets? (and other kits as well; Dynojets, kits fm HRC?, etc) Let's talk some serious stuff. :slurp: Shoot guyz! :gun:

Sporting Motors is no longer there. Vector One is beside the Ducati showroom now.

Ok.... I've got something to tell everyone, you all should remember this...

I recently changed my rear tire to 160, instead of 150. Coz I wanted a 2nd hand but there wasnt one that was 150.

Well, I recently realized that the left edges were worn out by friction due to the contact with either the chain or something. Although it will likely not cause any major problem, I would advise everyone out there NOT to change to 160 in the rear. Stick to the recommended 150.

when i was using dragon 160, i have this problem also, the chain rubbing the side edge of the tyre, and when slowing down from high speed, can feel vibration also.. Now using gpr70 150, the problem is gone.. Read from an article on this very long long time ago abt this problem, if i didn't remember wrongly, its due to the x-ring chain.. cos quite a few users feedback when using 160 with x-ring chain, they have this rubbing problems.. no problem with o-ring chain users who on 160.. I might be wrong, i don't know.. tat article were dunno how many donkey yrs back..

Interesting.... Maybe it could be something else thats rubbing against the edge of the tire.

Seriously, the width of the tire will come dangerously close to the chain guard and other stuff... if you look straight from the back, you can see that very little amount of gap is left.

maybe it's the chain..

think x-ring slightly thicker than o-ring...

Encounter this before too.

Used Michelin pilot race 160 rear. U can see multiple cuts on the left edges ( Like penknife cut). Riden till the whole tire puncture while i was riding. Can hear the loud 'pop' which really scares me.

No prom after changed to GPR 70 150 rear.

Thanx for the link Yoshi. Checked out the FactoryPro website in the afternoon.

The kit available for the NC35 is (CRB-H24-1.0). Meant for Stock Airbox, filter and aftermarket exhaust. Here's what they say..

"Easy to install and tune - no slide drilling!

Adds more low-end / midrange, if the proper main jet is selected, more top-end power.

This is one of the kits that we made our reputation on."

My concern is that the kit was designed and ran on a bike in USA. Wonder how much of the intended performance will be affected when fitted in S'pore.

I m using M1 Sportex 160 at the back cum DID X ring chain. No problem at all. The only problem is corner, 160 for RVF to corner is no good. Dun think 160 is suitable for RVF at all. I bought it because that time M1 sportex have no stock for 150.

FAST BIKE DOESN'T MAKE U A FAST RIDER.

COURTEOUS RIDER MAKES U A GOOD RIDER.

When I changed to 160... it felt a little heavier... Like more difficult to get the bike to move; more inertia like dat

 Err check out their "reputation" at http://www.400greybike.co.uk's forum for rvfs.

Apparently, their tech gurus don't like the results at all in a recent thread.

Anyway, based on my own experiences, the jets supplied are too big for use here in Singapore, as they are tuned for a colder climate. Even on a free flow filter and straight through exhaust, I still find the stock jetting too rich. And the jets in the kit supplied are several sizes bigger than stock!

Anyway, just changing jets without dynoing is useless, as you are just guessing that the makers got it right. You need to spend the money as a package with dyno to get a result you will be happy with.:cheeky:

Hi Beowolf,

So glad to hear some reply at last! Yap, did some homework. Our fren, Soulmace's thread. An interesting review indeed. The needles especially seems to be screwing things up. Factory Pro's not too popular with folks outside the States.

Carbs are indeed a mytery. Ten ways to get it right and a Thousand ways to screw it up. Just curious, have you, for that matter anyone gone for a dyno-jetting? (Run+Jetting) Sure like to hear about you guyz? :hungry:
