Highly possible its a stolen bike. Imagine a kampong faced guy with a kampong helmt riding it. Still i didnt thought abt it they other time. Like u say. Just not my day/luck.

with the internet, its not hard to get info.

SBF is huge. we have heaps of ppl all over asia surfing the net here.

we post details such as who is going to sepang when and all that, they know who rides what, when , where n how.

 

plus the equatorial/sepang deal was that ppl staying there get to park right out front infront of the lobby. all this was on sbf also.

 

if and when the insurance co. pays out could be 6mths or longer at half the mkt value or less. if the thief approaches him now, ask for rm10,000 instead, its a win win situation for both parties as he loses less than making an insurance claim and the thief gets cash instantly.

 

Hmmmmmmm...... Interesting angle you got there.... So you're suggesting that the thieves are net-savvy fellas who may have intimate knowledge of bikes and regulations. It's possible....

 

 

But then again, I doubt that TS will get any call. My rationale:

1) Too risky for the thieves since he may be ambushed during the exchange;

2) Bike prices are double there, even with the exchange rate. Why settle for the insurance loss when he can reap a much more than that; and

3) History of probability - Have you ever heard of any bike being held ransom?

it really boils me 2 hear ppl's bike gotten stolen while the rider is on holiday, read about the other cbr1k @ berita harian. R1 also kena cope.

 

the culprit if caught think its better 2 burn him alive n use his ash as road pavement.

i heard 5 so far.

 

after all this makes me reconsider parking my bike at hotel.

must choose hotel carefully.cannot trust the lobby parking.

No need to rig the whole bike to blow, damage own bike... waste money.

After the thief cope the suspension, and holds it in his hands, remote ignite, it will be like a pipe bomb, blasting away all his fingers, cure his "itchy hands" problems for good.

 

The thief will live through it, and his thieving friends will all get to see what happens when they try to cope Singapore bikes.

 

After a few of these cases, thieves will not dare to cope Super 4 suspension any more...

Was told a total of 17 SG bikes were missing.

 

Anyone heard of a CBR600 08 model going for RM17,000 in Melaka and another Honda 1000 sportsbike also going for RM17,000. Perhaps these owners are deep deep in debts.
