That's where you fill up your coolant. You need a Philips screw driver to remove the "L" bracket. The "L" prevent a rubber plug from popping off. =)

any idea on where we can get replacement rear shocks for the impulse?

don't wanna import in Hagon or Nitron shocks unless no choice.

maybe i'll go scrapyard hunting instead.

Check out the suspensions from this UK ebay seller. http://www.ebay.com.sg/sch/mirrorsandlightsltd/m.html?hash=item416313510e&item=280835084558&pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&_trksid=p4340.l2562

Measure the dimensions to fit.

If can find one to fit, then ship it back via singapore post's VPOST service (UK local address will be provided).

330 is kinda pricey though. any difference between reservoir and non-reservoir type shocks?

from Chong Aik at Desker. Don't think you can get this price with Hagon or Nitron.

Btw, I would want to try Nitron on my current bike, any1 here knows where I can get them locally?

I don't think there's Nitron or Hagon available locally. I tried looking online but it seems you have to order online. Not cheap either but supposedly Nitron Shocks are pretty good stuff.

anyways, i managed to find a vendor in Japan who can help me stock parts for the Suzy. Only problem i have now is language and shipping from there to here.

VPost sucks so i'm not even considering them.

took over byte77's impulse.

moving from a phantom to this, i can say the horsepower is there, torque as well. but it is so much smoother than my phantom. beauty of inline 4 vs single cyclinder.

though the exhaust doesn't sound as bassy, i like the whirring sound it makes when you rev. quite light and nimble considering its weight. Only issue i have is the gear shift is quite clunky...not sure if its the same for the other impulses.

Hello Everyone here.

I Have a Suzuki Impulse GSX400 1998 Model, my concern guys is, I have a few question why my bike spark plug always keep on wet.

Is it possible that the problem is the CARBURETOR and need to synchronize the air or what so ever? I dunno what is the cause.

My only choice is to clean the spark plug again and again. I always buy a spark plug thrice a month.

Hoping for your help/advice. .

Thanx!

you leave it in the open with no bike cover?

try taping the spark plug cap with insulating tape. works for me.

You spray the impulse as I remember byte77 Impulse was self spray silver color, nice and clean impulse. :p

haha thanks!

i'll need to book you for an appointment sometime soon. bike doesnt go back down to idle fast enough. it slowly goes down when i throttle abit. if fast on off throttle, no problem.

possibly carburettor setting is off? i'm getting 23km/l also. which according to byte77 is normal. was hoping to get 30km/l.

Good news is i managed to find and rebuild the stock suspension it came with, instead of the aftermarket one byte77 installed. The coolant, eo, has also been replaced already.

brakes were very weak also when i took it over, found out the brake pump seal has already been worn out so i got that replaced and fixed.

I spent a lot of time to remove the sprayed silver paint with thinner, then can see the original metallic black paint.

One of your air mixture screw on your carb was damage badly by the previous mechanic, unable to adjust the setting.

I played with the air mixture setting on my Impulse previously able to get 26km/l but very lean, and engine feels rough. At 23km/l engine feels smooth, so 23km/l should be almost right. Suggest you syn the carb, as I did not performed for byte77 after the valve clearance, its recommended to do so.

I suggest next time you tried mobil 1 10W40 for your next EO, I am using it now, gear shift and engine feels smooth after 4200km, intend to drag till 6000km then change. Prie is reasonable $18 per quart.
