do you have any ideas if starhub or M1 bringing in iphone?

 

currently only singtel has iphone.

 

but rumours said came out in the newspaper singtel gonna increase their bill price. Is it true??

For the time being, Singtel is the only official Telco for iphone. Singtel is going to Slash instead of increasing the price plans for iphone.

SINGAPORE Telecommunications, South-east Asia's largest phone company, slashed some subscription plans for Apple's iPhone by half to lure users before rivals start offering the phone, Bloomberg news reported on Friday.

 

Subscription prices on the so-called monthly iFlexi plans will be cut by 50 per cent for three months, according to an announcement on SingTel's website.

 

Customers who buy the iPhone are required to sign up for a two-year contract, with plans ranging from $56 to $205 a month, according to the website.

According to Michael Sim, senior corporate communications manager for StarHub, "we expect all three operators in Singapore would be offering the iPhone by the end of the year"

 

How true is this Mr. Sim. We shall wait and see.

erm. actually not true at all! lol.

i just upgraded my broadband and i saw this poster at the singtel shop quoting from the straits times that singtel will still be the only telco to have the iphone because of apple's terms of distributorship.

 

what i gather is that, unless apple sacks singtel and appoints a new distributor, singtel gets all the iphones. or unless singtel is willing to sell the phones to the other telcos, only thn will the iphones be available to users of other service providers.

 

anw, singtel also recently advertised on the papers free iphone when u upgrade ur broadband. pls take note that the 'free' iphone comes in the form of a voucher. meaning u still have to sign up for another line to utilise the voucher and i think u have to get itwo value which cost 48.15 per month before u get the iphone free.

Apple will not extend the distribution to Starhub nor M1...

 

This news came out bout 2 weeks ago...
