Just wanted to check with my fellow bikers if anyone else has been told to get off their bike when fueling up at Shell?

I've told them I need to sit on my bike to fill the tank up properly.

But still they refuse to serve me unless I get off the bike.

When asked why I need to get of the bike no-one could explain it to me but I was told simply that it is Shell's policy.

At the same time I don't see them asking car passengers to get out of their vehicles while its being fueled.

Can anyone explain the logic of this policy to me?

Standard lah, some attendants just simply bochap whether u sitting on standing.

One thing it could be dangerous, another thing sometimes the nozzle will overflow and spill all over your didi. Trust me, you don't want that to happen.

edit: btw, i always pump sitting on the bike, too lazy lah.
