guys its been ard 2 mths ive this prob on my kr150..the prob come on and off..usually while riding when i decided to slow down or stop,i close throttle but yet the bike is still moving..even when i use force to close throttle it still moving so i confirm its not the throttle grip prob..bring to my mechanic but when he try my bike,,,my bike seems nice and everything is ok since the prob come on and off..so he cant detect wats the prob..and all he did is some carb setting which he think might be the prob cos...but after a month the prob is still there on and off..while riding if the prob come..the only thing i can do to stop it is to drop gear...

 

so guys anyone ever face this problem?or know what might be the prob..one of my experience rider fren said that it might be a throttle cable prob or the slider...but my mechanic said he sure its not cable prob and he dun even check..what do u guys think? thanks..

When was the last time you took out the carb to wash it throughly?

 

Or have you tried lubing the throttle cable? (new ones are usually dry, and old ones even dryer)

 

Maybe it's time.

icic..i wash carb ard 1+ mths ago only..so i guess the prob shud be in carb or cable rite bro?i will bring down to mechanic and check it again..thanks bro...so guys anymore opinions?

and u also can check whether ur cable is stuck by turning ur handle bar.....

my bike throttle cable wash not positon properly... when i turn my handle bar it starts to rev.....

maybe ur carb there the knob sometimes stuck den the throttle cable cant go back..

Which 1 do you mean when you close throttle,

1. bike got no engine brake when close throttle?

2. rpm will continue to increase when you close throttle?

 

Last time i ride a Kr having this problem. when close throttle, the will RPM will continue to increase till to red zone. only to stop it is to use the "kill" engine button.

But the funny thing is that the problem only occur either in the early morning or in the night ( i believe is due to cooler air) but in the afternoon time, the problem would not even occur once before:confused:

 

I did change clutch cable and wash the cab but the problem still cant be solved. till today, the problem is still a mystery to me. :faint:

A second of precaution is an hour of safety. It never hurts to ask.

its either ur throttle cable or ur clutch plates

get them checked as it could b quite dangerous

if ur mech dun wanna check try another mech then

throttle cable most prob....

since problem is with throttle,close liao still feeding petrol in..maybe u need to change throttle cable+do a bit of adjustment.....

 

When u close throttle,the rmp got go back to idling?or close liao the rpm remains at 3k rpm?meaning close throttle like never close like that.....
